• The U of L Center for Global Health
wanted to develop a physical center for
their emerging Global Health Program
• The program developed in multiple
locations across medical center. The
desire was to consolidate and grow
space in order to:
• Increase operational efficiency
• Grow revenue and service
delivery
• Build brand recognition

• The Center for Global Health at the University of Louisville is part of the
Division of Infectious Diseases at the U of L School of Medicine. The
Center for Global Health has ove 11,000 clinic visits annually. It is a
multidisciplinary effort to improve health, and reduce health inequities
among underserved populations locally and world wide. Services provided
at th center include:
• Comprehensive care for HIV/AIDS patients.
• Refugee health care and immunizations.
• International health and travel.
• Global research in pnuemonia, influenza and emerging
pathogens.

• Identified and negociated
options for single location
of all Global Health Clinincs
• Developed business plan
for new clinic space.
Projected revenues and
expenses for new location.
• Identified, organized and
launched a community
based advisory group.

• Negociated competitive rental
rate down $7 sq. ft. resutling in
a $88K savings.
• Identified additional clincal
revenue of $415K through 340b
pharmacy.
• Presented results and recieved
approval for renovation and
space development.
• Implemented community
advisory group.
