Opened and managed the Calgary office of a commercial real estate services
company. The company provides a comprehensive and integrated range of
services including property acquisitions & dispositions, due diligence, asset and
property management, leasing, renovations and development for third parties
with a diverse client base including private investors, public real estate
companies, financial institutions and pension fund managers.
Managed Calgary Office in care of a commercial property portfolio consisting of
retail, office and industrial properties in Calgary, Red Deer, Lethbridge,
Yellowknife and Fort McMurray.
Acted in various roles and capacities as per client & corporate needs and
expectations (Real Estate Broker, Asset Manager, Property Manager, and
Business Development Manager).
Set & maintained standards and marketed the growth of the firm with an
emphasis on service excellence.
Performed due diligence and coordinated environmental consultants, engineers &
contractors on behalf of clients considering the potential purchase or sale of a

Assumed senior management responsibilities in May 2002 for a 335,000 sf retail,
office and residential complex in Yellowknife, NWT with six employees

Responsible for seventeen shopping centers in excess of 1,000,000 square feet.
Reduced HVAC repairs and maintenance expenses by $700,000 annually.
Reviewed a variety of processes & policies and saved an additional $605,000
annually.
Introduced corporate specific maintenance contracts complete with
specifications.
Assumed the role of Project Manager for gas bar construction in June 1999 and
coordinated two major ($2 million each.) expansion/renovations with twin car
washes and developed a third new location.
Prepared the $22 million capital, R&M budget for all properties for 1999 and
2000 budget years.
Hired and managed a consultant to set up an Asbestos Management Plan (AMP)
for all Centres.
Prepared a variety of reports for presentation to the Board of Directors including
the Y2K report and the environmental status report for all Centres.
Coordinated gas bar contamination clean-up as well as monitored consultants and
contractors and worked on corporate recycling programs as well.
Reviewed and terminated in-store cash dispenser program that had been
originally intended to reduce full time equivalents but it had instead added
expense without adding any significant efficiencies.
