• Fishbone (Diagram Tulang Ikan) atau diagram
sebab-akibat adalah salah satu alat yang dapat
digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi dan
memvisualisasikan sebuah hubungan antara
sebab dan akibat untuk mengidentifikasi
penyebab utama dari masalah yang terjadi.
• Umumnya Fishbone Diagram digunakan untuk

menggunakan struktur pohon atau struktur
berhirarki.

• Tujuan Pohon Keputusan
 Pohon keputusan dikembangkan untuk membantu
pengambil keputusan membuat serangkaian
keputusan yang melibatkan peristiwa
ketidakpastian.
 Pohon keputusan adalah suatu peralatan yang
mengambarkan secara grafik berbagai kegiatan
yang dapat diambil dan dihubungkan dengan
kegiatan ini dengan berbagai peristiwa di waktu
mendatang yang dapat terjadi.
 Bagaimanapun dalam berbagai situasi yang tepat,
penggunaan pohon keputusan akan mengurangi
kekacauan potensial dalam suatu masalah
kompleks dan memungkinkan pengambil keputusan
menganalisis masalah secara rasional.

• Kelebihan metode pohon keputusan :
 Pengambilan keputusan yang sebelumnya
kompleks dan sangat global, dapat diubah
menjadi lebih simpel dan spesifik.
 Eliminasi perhitungan-perhitungan yang tidak
diperlukan, karena ketika menggunakan
metode pohon keputusan maka sample diuji
hanya berdasarkan kriteria atau kelas tertentu.
 Fleksibel untuk memilih fitur dari internal node
yang berbeda, fitur yang terpilih akan
membedakan suatu kriteria dibandingkan
kriteria yang lain dalam node yang sama.
Kefleksibelan ini dapat meningkatkan kualitas
keputusan yang dihasilkan.

 Dalam analisis multivariat, dengan kriteria dan
kelas yang jumlahnya sangat banyak, seorang
penguji biasanya perlu untuk
mengestimasikan, baik itu distribusi dimensi
tinggi ataupun parameter tertentu, dari
distribusi kelas tersebut.
 Dapat menghindari munculnya permasalahan
dengan menggunakan criteria yang jumlahnya
lebih sedikit pada setiap node internal tanpa
banyak mengurangi kualitas keputusan yang
dihasilkan.

Pendekatan Sistemik
sebagai Pendekatan Holistic
• Sistemik atau melalui pendekatan sistem, dimana
semua faktor yang berada di dalam satu sistem
dan diperkirakan dapat menimbulkan masalah
hasus diperhidungkan sehingga tidak ada lagi
masalah tertinggal atau munculnya masalah baru
sebagai akibat dari keterkaitan sistem.
• Holistik artinya pendekatan yang dilakukan harus
bersifat universal, fleksibel, sederhana, mudah
difahami dan dikerjakan dari berbagai tingkatan
skill serta mudah disesuaikan dengan sistem-
sistem lain yang terkait, tidak sepotong-sepotong
(disjointed incrementalis) tetapi menyeluruh
(komprehensif). Pendekatan ini lebih dominan
pada proses kinerja yang bersifat berkelanjutan.

• Teknik ini tidak terlalu sulit, namun memerlukan
pendekatan prinsip aliran “logika” yang tajam dalam
menggali sampai ke akar permasalahan.
• Dengan berulang-ulang menanyakan “Why” atau
“Mengapa”, kita dapat mengupas satu per satu lapisan
permasalahan hingga menemukan inti atau akar
permasalahan yang kita hadapi.
• Teknik 5 Why ini pertama kali digunakan oleh Toyota
Motor Corporation Jepang (diperkenalkan dan
dikembangkan oleh Sakichi Toyoda) untuk
mengembangkan Metodelogi
Manufakturing perusahaannya.
• Dengan mengulangi pertanyaan-pertanyaan “Why”
atau “mengapa” sebanyak lima kali, sifat alami dari
suatu masalah dan juga solusinya akan menjadi
semakin jelas.
