Subject: Funding Memo; Business writing course
Individuals' communication skills are a basis for an effective dialogue, and involve both verbal
and nonverbal communication skills. When applied, communicating ideas clearly, so employees
definitely know what is asked of them, the subordinates will, consequently, perform their jobs
correspondingly.
With the importance of effective writing to support all form of essays, CVs, cover letters, and
even e-mails often have to represent the individual. In such cases the person’s writing is to form
the reader’s opinion about the individual’s personality and abilities. In my line of work these
skill are of the importance at all time. From the start of an open operation to the current ongoing
planning, and to the final completion effective writing is one of the most important points.
•Excellent writing is sure to earn respect.
•Writing structures and crystallizes one’s thoughts, improving learning in such a way.
•Writing improves the effectiveness of the person’s word usage in both written and oral
speech.
Give your rationale or supporting reasons for your request in the middle of the document.
Explain why it is important that you receive a positive response to your request. Detail how it
will help the organization. Provide the specifications of the request, for example date, time, cost,
location, etc. Discuss the main points in the body of the memo.
In the final paragraph sum up the memo and thank the reader for their time and attention. You
should restate the most important point. Don’t forget to include your contact information in
all correspondence. This makes it easier for the recipient to find you. You can put your email
and telephone numbers in the last paragraph. A salutation is not needed.
