Introduction
The purpose of this portfolio is to display various
aspects of my experience as an Instructional
Support Teacher. You will find artifacts that reflect
my current position as a mentor, staff developer,
facilitator, and member of the leadership team in the
Baltimore City Public School System. All of my
experiences as an elementary teacher have
influenced me to become an exceptional
educational leader.

RE: Employment
To Whom It May Concern:
I am Keenan Lemons, the current Instructional Support Teacher at Woodhome Elementary/Middle School and
it is my aspiration to obtain a position in Houston Independent School District. Over the last few years I have been
afforded the opportunities to grow as a school leader in which I believe will help me continue as a successful
Instructional Specialist. As an Instructional Support Teacher, I work daily with students, staff, and administrators to
analyze data and instructional practices in order to make sound decisions that will improve student achievement. My
attention and rapport with staff and students has aided in the school achieving academic success and a positive
climate. I am truly interested in becoming an Instructional Specialist in the Early Childhood or Elementary school level.
I believe I am able to help increase student achievement, maintain a safe and orderly learning environment, as well as
use all resources effectively and efficiently.
I feel I am highly qualified for the Instructional Specialist position, and it would be a pleasure to serve your
school district in a capacity that would highlight my strengths as an educator. Thank you in advance for your time and
careful consideration. I look forward to speaking with you about the possibility of such an exciting opportunity. If you
have any questions, I may be reached by phone at (832) 428-6265 or email at keenanlem@aol.com.
Sincerely,
Keenan Lemons
