In some movies they can be a powerful object that contain a secret to an
answer people have been search for, some peoples ultimate goal is to
retrieve the prop in order to get the information and save something or get
a hint to where something is being held.
3. Fake blood
This is key in thriller films.
The reason that this is key in thriller movies is because there is a lot of
violence within a thriller movie, and within the movie if there was no blood
it wouldn’t look very realistic, it would look fake if someone was shot and no
blood appeared. It would seem very strange and unrealistic.
Many reasons for substituting for real blood in the film industry, such as
ethical and sanitary concerns, and concerns for the emotional well being of
the actors.
4. Weapons
This shows us that there will be brutality and violence, which fits with the
conventions of a thriller.
It also sets the tone that there is going to be danger throughout.
Symbolises death and evil.
Sets worry because the audience are worried for the victims.
It also sets enigma because the audience want to know who is going to get
hurt and why this is happening to them.
5. Overview
All of these props are used to add suspense and tension throughout the
movie.
Some prop can be relatable In the fact that the whole movie can be
associated with one prob. For example fast and furious is based on cars and
we associate this movie with having expensive, fast cars in it.
It resembles reality, the aim is to make them look as realistic as possible, so
they make it like a setting that we are use to like a bedroom with lights and
draws.
They always portray something for example a briefcase being held, we
would assume the person was a businessman.
