2. Research &
Planning
This is our survey we sent out
to our class asking questions
about what they would like our
cereal to be like. We got one
reply.
We sent our survey out to
teenage girls because this is
our target audience.
Our main competitor is Special
K by Kellogg's.
We didn’t really research on
other cereals as we wanted our
cereal to be our own and unique
design.
3. The Product – Cereal
When we first thought about the idea of Fitness Flakes we wanted to get the
message across that a healthy breakfast is good for you. This is often overly
phrased so we wanted to inform in a unique way.
We thought long and hard about what we wanted the box to look like, all the
nutritional information to include and what celebrity to choose to represent
our cereal. As our cereal was advertising fitness and getting healthier we
thought the best person to use was Tom Daley because he is a very popular
athlete. He is on the front and back on the cereal box.
Our cereal is £1.50 we chose this price so young people who would
like to lose weight can afford it.
Our slogan is ‘You’ll be thinner in no time!’ Tom says this on the
back of our box.
We had to put less than 2% fat and only 10g of sugar in our cereal
to follow the guidelines Miss set us.
Our advert is on the next slide..

board
Our second
story board
First of all we designed a story
board for our advert.
The story follows Zoe and Tatum,
Tatum doesn't fit in skinny jeans
anymore whilst trying them on at
Zoe’s house so they decide to get fit
and start working out in the gym.
Then they eat fitness flakes and it
helps them have a healthier lifestyle.
We based ourselves on typical
teenage girls because that was what

We wanted to make sure people knew that Fitness Flakes would
help you lose weight and help towards your healthier goals. So
we wanted to get across a positive message in the advert.

audience.
The Finished Product

I think we worked very well, even though there was
2 of us. We communicated good and worked to
the best of our ability.
We both had individual strengths and weaknesses.
Tatum did the design and Zoe worked well
planning the advert but we didnt work so well on
finishing things in time which slowed us down in a
way. And last minute changes had to be done on
our design because Zoe’s fireworks would not
work.
Overall we enjoyed doing this project and hope you
like our cereal Fitness Flakes.
Thank you!
