tweets. Build your tribe and then work
on depth.all about relationship not
selling as a bi-product of relationship

Common Abbreviations and Acronyms on Twitter
<3 – Love – This “less than three” acronym is used
to be a crudely-shaped heart and is used to signify the
word “love”
2 – To/Too/Two – Short way to say “to”, “too”, or
“two” that conserves characters
4 – For – Short way to say “for” that conserves
characters
B4 – Before – Short way to say “before” that
conserves characters
BC, B/C – Because – Short way to say “because” that
conserves characters
BTW – By The Way – Short way to say “by the way”
that conserves characters
CHK – Check – Short way to say “check” that
conserves characters
EM, EML – Email – Short way to say “email” that
Meaningful content is the currency for
the social web and sharing catylist for
new relationships
Be an authentic human…may connect
over sports etc
Its more than just brilliant content
Share content other than biz so people
can see your whole personality
Quality of contacts more important than quantity
Need both
First need 200 followers you are starting wide then
you can go deep and that’s where the magic happens
Polite thing in twitter is if someone follows you
follow back. Once get 200 followers you get
noticed organically and then don’t have to work
so hard.
At first try 20 min a day 50-75% should follow
back

• Use photo not logo – be human
• Link to site
• Bio
• Short easy to remember user name
• Tweet even if no followers
Twitter Character Limit
• Now 280 was 140 until 2017
• Picked 140 originally because that was the
amount that fit in an sms text message. They
wanted each tweet to fit in that text message
How To Find People To Follow
• On your homepage under profile click who to follow.
At bottom of that says find people you know. It will
find people in your address book on phone, email lists
but not people on most other social media
• Basic search
• Mine Twitter lists. Twitter lists are categorized special
interest groups. When find someone interesting dig
into their lists and follow people on their lists. (More
on that later.)
• Mine competitor lists
• Look at lists of related business – loan
officers, inspectors, etc.
• Look at Linked-in. Most profiles have their
Twitter handle.
Meaningful Content
• What interests you?
• Offer value – Example recommend a new restaurant you
recently visited.
• If you read something interestingnon-related to business
tweet it.
• Link to comments you make on other platforms like
Linked-in and Facebook.
• Tweet about something in pop culture like “can’t wait to
see last episode of .”
• Follow Friday to people you appreciate.
• Tweet in the moment.
• When someone does something great, compliment them.
The Most Misunderstood and Most
Powerful Part Of Twitter
• #-examples
• To know everything said about a topic put #
before topic in search box. Just doing a search
only searches through titles of articles
• News or community events
• Contests and promotion
• During live broadcast or tv show
• *Research-different than google. Google with
give you stuff from 10 years ago. This is current
info. Right here. Right now.
• Beware of strong opinions and politics
The Retweet
• Read tweets from people you follow and
retweet at least once a day. This makes
others feel appreciated and will connect you
a little more to them.
