1. Landscape-Image Analysis
Nature
This connotes a feeling of contentment and peace and also a little bit of mystery and
secrecy because only part of the pathway is lit whereas the rest is quite shaded and dark.
The photographer could be encoding into the picture that nature has its dark sides and
some things to do with the world we are still unsure of and we have only uncovered a few
mysteries that this planet has hidden in plain sight. By having the path leading into the light
the photographer could be trying to say that there is always light at the end of the tunnel
which is a well-known life lesson and motto that people can live by.

2. Urban
This connotes a feeling of separation, like the world is rushing past but you don’t see any of
it because you are in your own silent bubble that no one else is in except yourself. The
photographer could be encoding that this is what it feels to lose someone close to you
because you are in a state of shock and your world stops and you don’t notice things in
detail anymore because you are in so much pain and yet you carry on doing everyday things
and go outside but nothing is clear anymore. This uses the framing and composition
technique golden triangle as it runs along the road and follows the blurred light which draws
your eye to these things as they are the main focus of the picture.

3. Impressionistic
This connotes a feeling of wonder and awe as it is such a beautiful portrayal of the sky and
shows the sun setting and the colour reflecting off of the clouds. A slow shutter speed is
used to create the blur of the clouds as the clouds areprobably being blown acrosss the sky
quite fast so the slow shutter speed captures them and causes them to blur whereas a fast
shutter speed would make the clouds clearer. The photographer could be encoding that
nature can be beautiful yet barren and lonely at the same time as their is a contrast
between the bright sky and the plain ground. In addition their is just one tree standing in the
middle of the field with nothing else around it.
