• Autoreactive CD4+ T helper cells activate which increases immune
response.
• The activated CD4+ T cells and proinflammatory cells cross the blood
brain barrier.
• The cells produce proinflammatory cytokines and interferon-gamma.
• They then active microglia and astrocytes which induces myelin
phagocytois.
• Myelin phagocytosis increase the reactivation of CD4+ cells, causing a
feedback loop.
