daily, including
Todayâs youth is so consumed
with building an image online
they sometimes forget there are
more important things to
prioritize in life

3. That much media
consumption is not
only a distraction from
developing real
relationships, but it can

5. Ratings and likes take over
Lacieâs life and drives her to
an unstable state of mind
which eventually lands her
in prison. Yes, these events
are fictitious, but the
message of being aware of
how much time youâre
spending on social media
and how easily it can take
over your life remains true.

6. âReal Estate Agent: So in terms of quality, you could use a punch up right there. Ideally, that's up votes
from quality people
Lacie: Quality people?
Real Estate Agent: High fours. Impress those up-scale folks, you'll gain velocity on your arc and there's
your boost.â

keyboard and say hurtful things
without any immediate
repercussions.

10. âTeens who are on social media for more
than two hours a day, a full one-quarter
of students in the study, report poor self-

distress, suicidal ideation or unmet need
for mental health supportâ (Payne 2015)

19. Yes, having our youth learn about new
technological advancements is
beneficial, however smartphones and
tablets should not be introduced at such
a young age as there are many risks
involved.
