include these 7 elements in all your content.
Focus on the
audience
Avoid the
“fluff.”
Follow the
Platinum Rule.
Be authenticBe authenticFact vs opinion
Eye-appealing
Write what others want to read.
Knows what your potential audiences want to
learn.
What is their purpose in choosing your content
How do they want to consume it? (written word,
audio, video etc.)
Irrelevant or self-promoting content will
have them clicking away faster than you
can blink.
Create connections quickly and show
genuine interest in readers.
Every piece of content you publish should
be about the reader.
Focus on what your audience needs.
Listen to reader comments and provide
thoughtful, personal answers.
Controversial topics are a great marketing tool.
How it is handled is the difference between
sensational content and irresistible content.
Be respectful.
You don’t have to shy away from expressing your
opinions but make sure you are clear that it is your
opinion and not fact.
In comments, be sure you honor others right to
their opinion. Acknowledge that they may see
things differently.
Here’s an example, I frequently
recommend that people blog at least 3
times per week and further stress that
they must be consistent in their blogging
schedule. Therefore, I blog 3 times a week
on HIT Virtual every month.
Your content should be well formatted for
consumption. If you are publishing a blog post,
follow the rules of formatting for reading on the
internet.

  • 6. Controversial topics are a great marketing tool. How it is handled is the difference between sensational content and irresistible content. Be respectful. You don’t have to shy away from expressing your opinions but make sure you are clear that it is your opinion and not fact. In comments, be sure you honor others right to their opinion. Acknowledge that they may see things differently.
  • 7. Here’s an example, I frequently recommend that people blog at least 3 times per week and further stress that they must be consistent in their blogging schedule. Therefore, I blog 3 times a week on HIT Virtual every month.
