Ceiling Lift Advantages
Cost Savings
A combination of Tollos Advanced Technology features will provide you with extreme cost of ownership savings over
other manufacturers. Savings will be recognized in the Life Cycle of the Lift, Preventative Maintenance Requirements
and Battery Life.
Example of Guaranteed Lowest Ownership Costs
Life Cycle
Our ceiling lift motors will have a useful life of 25,000 cycles. This compares to major competitors stating their lifts
useful life run between 10,000-15,000 cycles. That can translate into a Tollos lift outlasting the competition by
2.5 times. The life of the lift is often overlooked, so please consider that the Tollos lift will keep on running while the
competitions product will need to be replaced. This saves significant costs over time.
Preventative Maintenance (PM)
Tollos lifts only require full preventative maintenance every TWO YEARS. The competition requires a PM every 6
months to 1 year. At an average estimated cost of $300 per motor PM, this cost savings is impactful to a facility’s
operating costs. Not only does it save a facility the cost of the PM, it saves time and hassle on organizing room
availability when census is high, moving patients, and eliminates all the time it takes to plan and coordinate the PM’s.
Tollos recommends a simple safety check on the PM off years that is inexpensive, quick and can be performed with the
patient in the room. Tollos will also train the facility to do their own PM’s if the facility chooses.
Battery Life
Tollos has introduced battery saving software mechanisms that will extend the life of your battery far beyond
competitive lift batteries. This software translates into cost savings by reducing the need to replace batteries in your
lift less often. Tollos also uses non-proprietary batteries, which means we will provide you with the model number of
the battery and you can arrange to purchase them from your local supplier.
Training and Education – Value Add
Unlike other lift manufacturers, Tollos offers a complete training and education support system to maximize
compliance in your facility…at no charge! As a valued Tollos partner, we will provide you with expert clinical support,
online learning modules, interactive web streams, product guides, program materials and more…Everything you need
to provide your staff with the tools necessary to feel comfortable and competent in operating lift equipment.

Unique Product Features
IC Strap
Our Patent Pending Infection Control Strap (IC) is non-porous and easily cleanable unlike the
woven ceiling lift straps on the market. C-Diff spores for example are killed utilizing a 10% bleach
solution. Using this compound on standard woven lift straps will decrease the life of the strap and
can present safety hazards. With the Tollos IC, you simply spray or wipe the strap with your hard
surface disinfectant cleaner and follow your infection control guidelines.
Recessed Track with WINGS Advantages
Recessed track with Wings provides an aesthetically pleasing look and fast coordination of ceiling
tile installation. This style track eliminates the need to adhere to an “L” channel tile grid to parallel
tracks and manually cut tiles for perfect alignment – this saves installation time! Since the track is
flush with the ceiling grid, it provides an increased lifting height and can be coordinated with most
ceiling lift protrusions such as booms, lights, etc.
Six-Point Spreader Bar
• Supine Lifting - Lift entire patient off the bed to reposition, change sheets, lateral transfer. Patient is completely off the
bed.
• Patient Comfort – Eliminates larger patients feeling constricted; eliminates pressure on chest for easier breathing.
• Staff Communication – Allows for direct eye contact and communication from caregiver to patient when care giver is
standing to the side of the patient.
• Versatility – Provides functional use for ALL SPH tasks including Seated, Lateral, Supine, Repositioning, Limb Lifting,
Turning, Ambulation
Design Solutions
Tollos’ strength in Design Solutions to builders, architects and
contractors is invaluable when coordinating unique and challenging
floor plans. An example of this is shown in the image to the right. A
synergistic environment was created between the lift system and the
casework, in this case, millwork. Tollos offers limitless solutions and
invites its customers to present such projects to accomplish the best
solution for everyone on the project.
Sling Compatibility
Tollos utilizes Loop style lift slings. These slings can be used on
competitor’s lifts. We also authorize your facility to utilize your existing
non-Tollos sling with our lift bar with prior approval.
Motor Compatibility
The Tollos ceiling lift motor has the ability to fit in your existing lift tracks
if necessary. When it’s time to replace your current motors, or add
motors to existing rail, the process of hanging a Tollos motor is simple,
fast and affordable.

Turntables
Manual
• Operated manually by pulling cord (one to open and one to close)
• Allows 90 degree turns
• Can turn every 22.5 degrees
• Can have up to .16 different turn ports
• Generally good for tight spaces like bathrooms.
Electric
• Powered version turns by a motor operated by hand control.
• Can turn every 45 degrees for up to six different ports.
• No inconvenience or noise from pull cords
• Motor hand control can operate turntable (and gate if applicable)
• Power is typically supplied via hard -wiring above ceiling.
• This requires compliance with local electrical codes and electrician
must supply power to junction box with low voltage output to
turntable
• More expensive but move convenient
Gates
Automatic
• The Auto Gate is engineered for both easy setup/installation as well
as easy use by combining the best features of an electric gate with
the simplicity of a manual design
• The Auto Gate eliminates the need for hard wiring and the related
electric code issues, eliminates most drilling yet still eliminates
cords on old style manual gates. Fewer moving parts also means
enhanced durability.
Electric
• Powered gate is easier to align and is ideal for higher weight rooms
(750lb to 1,000lb rooms).
• It can use the same hand control as the motor and turntable.
• Gates require stiffer crosser track.
• Like the powered turntable, the powered gate requires electric hard
wired above the ceiling in compliance with local codes.

  • 3. Tollos is the leading safe patient handling (SPH) company dedicated to patient safety, employee safety and hygiene. Tollos was formed in 1989, headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland; manufactures lifting equipment in Barrie, Ontario; and manufactures bathing equipment in Sparta, Tennessee. Tollos is ISO certified, uses automotive-based design and manufacturing practices and has had zero recalls. Tollos SPH products consist of state-of-the-art ceiling lifts and floor lifts with a complimentary full-line of slings. Proprietary industry leading features include a patent pending, industry only wipe-down Infection Control Strap, iQ Technology, Wi-Fi, wireless hand controls and integrated scale, among other features. Equally important, Tollos’ ceiling and floor lifts have the longest industry useful life due to high efficiency motor designs. This in turn allows every other year preventative maintenance and extended battery life, resulting in the lowest cost of ownership. All of these features are coupled with turnkey installation and training along with a cash back ROI guarantee program. From providing on-site assessments for both equipment and design selection recommendations to installation and track configuration options, Tollos is your one-stop shop allowing you to seamlessly implement a SPH program and capture all of the intended benefits. All at very cost-effective pricing. We are your SPH specialist. We manufacture in North America, have state-of-the-art equipment at competitive pricing, a comprehensive training and installation program, and have the resources and experience to help you implement an excellent program with 24/7 support during and after installation and training. • 4. Tollos® Ceiling Lift Advantages Cost Savings A combination of Tollos Advanced Technology features will provide you with extreme cost of ownership savings over other manufacturers. Savings will be recognized in the Life Cycle of the Lift, Preventative Maintenance Requirements and Battery Life. Example of Guaranteed Lowest Ownership Costs Life Cycle Our ceiling lift motors will have a useful life of 25,000 cycles. This compares to major competitors stating their lifts useful life run between 10,000-15,000 cycles. That can translate into a Tollos lift outlasting the competition by 2.5 times. The life of the lift is often overlooked, so please consider that the Tollos lift will keep on running while the competitions product will need to be replaced. This saves significant costs over time. Preventative Maintenance (PM) Tollos lifts only require full preventative maintenance every TWO YEARS. The competition requires a PM every 6 months to 1 year. At an average estimated cost of $300 per motor PM, this cost savings is impactful to a facility’s operating costs. Not only does it save a facility the cost of the PM, it saves time and hassle on organizing room availability when census is high, moving patients, and eliminates all the time it takes to plan and coordinate the PM’s. Tollos recommends a simple safety check on the PM off years that is inexpensive, quick and can be performed with the patient in the room. Tollos will also train the facility to do their own PM’s if the facility chooses. Battery Life Tollos has introduced battery saving software mechanisms that will extend the life of your battery far beyond competitive lift batteries. This software translates into cost savings by reducing the need to replace batteries in your lift less often. Tollos also uses non-proprietary batteries, which means we will provide you with the model number of the battery and you can arrange to purchase them from your local supplier. Training and Education – Value Add Unlike other lift manufacturers, Tollos offers a complete training and education support system to maximize compliance in your facility…at no charge! As a valued Tollos partner, we will provide you with expert clinical support, online learning modules, interactive web streams, product guides, program materials and more…Everything you need to provide your staff with the tools necessary to feel comfortable and competent in operating lift equipment. Competitor 1 Competitor 2 Tollos Saving over life (Competitor 1) Saving over life (Competitor 2) PM Schedule 6-12 months 12 months 24 months $1,500 (50% less over useful life) $2,000 (50% less over useful life) Battery Warranty 12 months 12 months 24 months $125 $125 Strap Warranty 12 months 12 months 24 months Useful Life 15,000 cycles 10,000 cycles 25,000 cycles $1,047 (67% longer) $5,000 (2.5 times longer) NET SAVINGS $3,032 $7,125 Tollos® Advanced Technology 4
  • 5. Unique Product Features IC Strap Our Patent Pending Infection Control Strap (IC) is non-porous and easily cleanable unlike the woven ceiling lift straps on the market. C-Diff spores for example are killed utilizing a 10% bleach solution. Using this compound on standard woven lift straps will decrease the life of the strap and can present safety hazards. With the Tollos IC, you simply spray or wipe the strap with your hard surface disinfectant cleaner and follow your infection control guidelines. Recessed Track with WINGS Advantages Recessed track with Wings provides an aesthetically pleasing look and fast coordination of ceiling tile installation. This style track eliminates the need to adhere to an “L” channel tile grid to parallel tracks and manually cut tiles for perfect alignment – this saves installation time! Since the track is flush with the ceiling grid, it provides an increased lifting height and can be coordinated with most ceiling lift protrusions such as booms, lights, etc. Six-Point Spreader Bar • Supine Lifting - Lift entire patient off the bed to reposition, change sheets, lateral transfer. Patient is completely off the bed. • Patient Comfort – Eliminates larger patients feeling constricted; eliminates pressure on chest for easier breathing. • Staff Communication – Allows for direct eye contact and communication from caregiver to patient when care giver is standing to the side of the patient. • Versatility – Provides functional use for ALL SPH tasks including Seated, Lateral, Supine, Repositioning, Limb Lifting, Turning, Ambulation Design Solutions Tollos’ strength in Design Solutions to builders, architects and contractors is invaluable when coordinating unique and challenging floor plans. An example of this is shown in the image to the right. A synergistic environment was created between the lift system and the casework, in this case, millwork. Tollos offers limitless solutions and invites its customers to present such projects to accomplish the best solution for everyone on the project. Sling Compatibility Tollos utilizes Loop style lift slings. These slings can be used on competitor’s lifts. We also authorize your facility to utilize your existing non-Tollos sling with our lift bar with prior approval. Motor Compatibility The Tollos ceiling lift motor has the ability to fit in your existing lift tracks if necessary. When it’s time to replace your current motors, or add motors to existing rail, the process of hanging a Tollos motor is simple, fast and affordable. Tollos® Ceiling Lift Advantages 5

  • 11. Turntables Manual • Operated manually by pulling cord (one to open and one to close) • Allows 90 degree turns • Can turn every 22.5 degrees • Can have up to .16 different turn ports • Generally good for tight spaces like bathrooms. Electric • Powered version turns by a motor operated by hand control. • Can turn every 45 degrees for up to six different ports. • No inconvenience or noise from pull cords • Motor hand control can operate turntable (and gate if applicable) • Power is typically supplied via hard -wiring above ceiling. • This requires compliance with local electrical codes and electrician must supply power to junction box with low voltage output to turntable • More expensive but move convenient Gates Automatic • The Auto Gate is engineered for both easy setup/installation as well as easy use by combining the best features of an electric gate with the simplicity of a manual design • The Auto Gate eliminates the need for hard wiring and the related electric code issues, eliminates most drilling yet still eliminates cords on old style manual gates. Fewer moving parts also means enhanced durability. Electric • Powered gate is easier to align and is ideal for higher weight rooms (750lb to 1,000lb rooms). • It can use the same hand control as the motor and turntable. • Gates require stiffer crosser track. • Like the powered turntable, the powered gate requires electric hard wired above the ceiling in compliance with local codes.
