Task Based Learning

It’s the logical outcome of theories of second
language learning associated with the
communicative approach.
There are three essential conditions to learn
a foreign language:

        Learners need regular exposure to the target
        language in meaningful social communicative
        contexts.


          They need frequent opportunity for the active use
          of the target language in communicative situations.



        Learners need a strong motivation for language
        learning
Typical TBL sequence:

Set of principles about          the goals of
language teaching, how learners learn a
language, the kinds of classroom activities
that best facilitate learning, and the roles of
teachers and learners in the classroom.
The first guiding principle:

CTL Reminds us:
• People learn languages so they can
  comunicate with them.
• Gives students aspects of style and
  appropriacy.
• Gives them oportunities to try out real
  language within.
