The DAC team 2010-11 met to discuss the developments in District 3010 at EATOPIA, Indian Habitat Center.
We all looked at and shared why we joined Rotaract , what made us to be in the DAC team. We also discussed
whether we genuinely are taking all the steps to achieve what we are here for..Standing on this and keeping this at
stake we started the meeting. This meeting was all about looking at solution to issues being faced by us and
taking actions on the same. We started with Focus areas of the Year and decided to have a chairman for each
focus area who will be resposible for creating new projects in that area and leading all the rotaractors to create a
milestone.

“No one shall suffer in and around Delhi for want of Blood”
A quart in time,
saves far more than nine;
a gallon in time is also fine,
but maybe a little too much,
you might need a crutch,
so we only draw a few drops,
about half a liter tops;
helping others feels great,
and we know you can’t wait.
We are pleased to inform you that Rotary Blood Bank has organized
a Walk for Blood on Sunday, December 5, 2010 from 8:00 am at
Rajpath, New Delhi.
All participants shall be provided T-Shirts and Caps with appropriate
logos, apart from snacks and cold drinks. They are planning to mobilize
5000 participants from various institutions (schools, corporate, religious
institutions, NGO, hospitals etc ) for this Walk. The Walk shall have a large
number of Rotarians, rotaractors, innerwheel and some celebrities walking
with us on this 1.5 Km stretch on the Rajpath which will be widely covered
by the Print and Electronic media.
It is a great opportunity for us all and we would like you to kindly associate
yourselves with this noble task. We shall be grateful if you could ensure
participation in this Walk. The participants may be advised to make
placards with inspiring messages about blood donation which they can
carry during the Walk. The students/participants can also hold a banner(s)
representing their respective institutions and clubs.
Please notify us of the name and number of participants from your club at
the earliest to make arrangements. You may include corporate, etc.
We expect the Rotaractors to gather in good numbers. All the clubs should
be represented from the district. Friends and family are also welcome.
Let us all join hands to make this event a mega success!!!

WALK FOR BLOOD
Donate Blood . . . Save Lives . . . Join Us . . . Walk For Blood
From The DRR’s Desk
Dear Friends,
Month of October has been full of activities for Rotaract Community of our district.
I want to acknowledge all clubs who have done outstanding work in the field of
education , charity to the underprivileged , Blood donation , awareness on
cleanliness , festival celebration with the underprivileged. I also want to
acknowledge clubs who have started thinking of future projects for underprivileged
like collecting winter clothes. This not only shows their concern and love for the
people of the society but also shows that they want to “make a difference”.
I want to thank and acknowledge clubs for their confirmation on participation in one
of the Biggest and most awaited event of the year – “ Walk for blood” being
organized by Rotary Blood Bank Dist 3010. More than 5000 people are expected in
the event including Interactors from various schools , Rotaractors, Rotarians and
some renowned personalities. Rotaractors participation plays a vital role in this event
not only to spread awareness but also to manage the complete event. It is our
responsibility and duty as rotaractors towards Rotary Blood bank‟s initiative to
support them fully and make this event a great success. I urge you all to register your
club members if they haven‟t till now and be a part of this movement. We expect
huge participation from you all as always.
ROTASIA being the biggest Multi-district International Event for the Rotaract in
India is in Janaury. There has been mild response from clubs on participation in
ROTASIA. It is „THE‟ event to meet rotaractors from all over south asia to show
your skills and sharpen your understanding of Rotaract in other states and countries .
Above all it is an ultimate platform to enjoy and take our level of Fellowship with
Rotaractors to an all new Level.
Keep doing this great work.
Best of Luck!!

THE FOUR WAY TEST
Of the things we think,

1. Is it the TRUTH?
2. Is it FAIR to all
concerned?
3. Will it build GOODWILL
and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?

Rotaract is a Rotary-sponsored service club for young men and women ages 18 to 30. Rotaract clubs
are either community or university based, and they’re sponsored by a local Rotary club. This makes
them true "partners in service" and key members of the family of Rotary.
Through the Rotaract program, young adults not only augment their knowledge and skills, but they
also address the physical and social needs of their communities while promoting international
understanding and peace through a framework of friendship and service.
Membership starts with you! Invite friends, family and co-workers to become members of Rotaract

  • 2. “No one shall suffer in and around Delhi for want of Blood” A quart in time, saves far more than nine; a gallon in time is also fine, but maybe a little too much, you might need a crutch, so we only draw a few drops, about half a liter tops; helping others feels great, and we know you can’t wait. We are pleased to inform you that Rotary Blood Bank has organized a Walk for Blood on Sunday, December 5, 2010 from 8:00 am at Rajpath, New Delhi. All participants shall be provided T-Shirts and Caps with appropriate logos, apart from snacks and cold drinks. They are planning to mobilize 5000 participants from various institutions (schools, corporate, religious institutions, NGO, hospitals etc ) for this Walk. The Walk shall have a large number of Rotarians, rotaractors, innerwheel and some celebrities walking with us on this 1.5 Km stretch on the Rajpath which will be widely covered by the Print and Electronic media. It is a great opportunity for us all and we would like you to kindly associate yourselves with this noble task. We shall be grateful if you could ensure participation in this Walk. The participants may be advised to make placards with inspiring messages about blood donation which they can carry during the Walk. The students/participants can also hold a banner(s) representing their respective institutions and clubs. Please notify us of the name and number of participants from your club at the earliest to make arrangements. You may include corporate, etc. We expect the Rotaractors to gather in good numbers. All the clubs should be represented from the district. Friends and family are also welcome. Let us all join hands to make this event a mega success!!! Page 2 WALK FOR BLOOD Donate Blood . . . • 3. From The DRR’s Desk Dear Friends, Month of October has been full of activities for Rotaract Community of our district. I want to acknowledge all clubs who have done outstanding work in the field of education , charity to the underprivileged , Blood donation , awareness on cleanliness , festival celebration with the underprivileged. I also want to acknowledge clubs who have started thinking of future projects for underprivileged like collecting winter clothes. This not only shows their concern and love for the people of the society but also shows that they want to “make a difference”. I want to thank and acknowledge clubs for their confirmation on participation in one of the Biggest and most awaited event of the year – “ Walk for blood” being organized by Rotary Blood Bank Dist 3010. More than 5000 people are expected in the event including Interactors from various schools , Rotaractors, Rotarians and some renowned personalities. Rotaractors participation plays a vital role in this event not only to spread awareness but also to manage the complete event. It is our responsibility and duty as rotaractors towards Rotary Blood bank‟s initiative to support them fully and make this event a great success. I urge you all to register your club members if they haven‟t till now and be a part of this movement. We expect huge participation from you all as always. ROTASIA being the biggest Multi-district International Event for the Rotaract in India is in Janaury. There has been mild response from clubs on participation in ROTASIA. It is „THE‟ event to meet rotaractors from all over south asia to show your skills and sharpen your understanding of Rotaract in other states and countries . Above all it is an ultimate platform to enjoy and take our level of Fellowship with Rotaractors to an all new Level. Keep doing this great work. Best of Luck!! Rtr. This makes them true "partners in service" and key members of the family of Rotary. Through the Rotaract program, young adults not only augment their knowledge and skills, but they also address the physical and social needs of their communities while promoting international understanding and peace through a framework of friendship and service. Membership starts with you! Invite friends, family and co-workers to become members of Rotaract Page 12 BITS ‘n PIECES Got A Story ?
