Now that you know about Equivalent Fractions, you
   will design your own trade book like the one we
       read in our Lab called, The Hershey’s Milk
  Chocolate Fractions Book by Jerry Pallotta. You
 will be required to use an object that can be divided
 into equal parts to introduce Fractions and provide
           examples of Equivalent Fractions.

   Recommendations for implementation:
    This field trip is recommended for whole class, small group,
    and individual implementation.
   Introduction Activity:
    Introduce this virtual field trip by reading The Hershey’s Milk
    Chocolate Fractions Book by Jerry Pallotta. Give each
    student a Hershey bar and have them follow along in the book
    while using the candy bars as a representation. They will also
    be responsible for keeping track of the fractions they create on
    their own papers. After reading through the book, ask
    students to demonstrate equivalent fractions with their candy
    bars. When they are done with the lab, they are allowed to eat
    their candy bars. Introduce the Virtual Field trip at the end of
    this activity, by asking students if they had fun and telling them
    that they are going to go on a virtual field trip to learn more
    about fractions.
