Safety Commitment: Working safely is a condition of employment and all employees will do so at all

believes that an operation is being conducted in an unsafe manner or under unsafe conditions. All

Job Summary: The STC position is a supporting role for the Senior Toolpusher to utilize with regards to
training, safe systems of work and auditing. In this role the STC will plan his activities in conjunction
with ongoing and planned operations. The position requires that he shall ensure that ALL persons visiting
the site are fully aware of Weatherford Drilling International (WDI) policy and procedure prior to being
exposed to the worksite. Within this responsibility the STC shall liaise with the Senior Toolpusher on a
regular basis and discuss potential problems and assist in resolving such. Auditing of WDI policy and
procedures is part of their duties. This includes the auditing of departmental administration as well as
conducting administration for items which fall within this job description such as training.

2. Experience, Training and Certification Requirements: 1. The Company primarily promotes
experienced rig personnel to this position. New hires will preferably possess experience of working on a
Land Rig. 2. Will preferably have or will work towards attaining a recognized qualification in
occupational health and safety and/or environmental management and/or training. 3. Either has completed
prior to appointment, or will complete in a reasonable time frame thereafter,the other training
requirements listed on the applicable training matrix. 4. Good verbal and written communication skills. 5.
Good working knowledge of the WDI Management System.
Essential Responsibilities:
1. Represent the Company in a professional manner both on and off the job to include confidentiality of
Company and client business.
2. To assist the Senior Toolpusher in ensuring compliance with all WDI policies and procedures.
3. Conduct audits and site inspections to ensure compliance with all WDI policies and procedures.
4. Conduct Induction Training for ALL personnel visiting or assigned to the site.
5. Conduct Training as required by the company / client or wherever a need is identified.
6. Monitor operations and offer assistance with regards to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs),Risk
Assessments and Hazard Identification.
7. Eliminate any waste and establish a cost conscious planning effort within area of responsibility.
8. Promptly report any act or condition that conflicts with WDI policy or procedure.
9. Be knowledgeable of all Company safety policies and procedures including fire fighting, emergency
equipment, life saving equipment and emergency response.
10. Actively participate in safety discussions, safety drills and inspections.
11. Report all incidents or injuries to self or crew members which occur, regardless of seriousness.
12. Assist with meetings as required by the company.
13. Assist in any incident investigation and assist in collating the relevant documents to support the
