hosted by SixTwelve and the Music Moves Mountains Foundation on 7.12.15
Oklahoma City, OK -- A presentation by Zetta Music Therapy introducing the medical practice of
music therapy will be offered free to the community on Sunday, July 12th at 4pm at SixTwelve,
located at 612 NW 29th St., OKC, OK 73103, PH (405) 208-8291. This event will offer a hands-
on, interactive experience for all ages and abilities and will be an educational opportunity to
network with music therapists in the area. Hosted by the non-profit organizations, the Music
Moves Mountains Foundation and SixTwelve, this partnered event hopes to bring more
awareness and access to those in need of music therapy and education in the community.
Board-certified music therapists and music educators Amber Loomis, MME, MT-BC and Zach
Williams, MA, MT-BC of Zetta Music Therapy offer state-of-the-art services to a wide variety of
clients in the OKC metro. Music therapy is a clinical-based, scientifically-proven medical
practice that can benefit all ages and tackle many different issues by using music to accomplish
non-musical goals. The practice has been used in everything from Neo-Natal issues,
Alzheimer's Disease, brain injury or stroke, post-traumatic stress disorder, to neurological or
developmental disorders including Autism Spectrum Disorders. Zetta Music Therapy also
specializes in providing music therapy services for special needs students in the Norman Public
School and Moore Public School districts as part of a student's Individualized Education Plan.
The Music Moves Mountains Foundation was launched in 2012 in response to the lack of state
support and resources in the community for music therapy, music education and related
services, especially for the underserved and special needs populations. Its mission is to offer a
perpetual series of projects, programs, and services utilizing the scientifically-proven powers of
music to change and improve the quality of lives.
