Hi, my name is _______ and in the next few minutes you’re going to be introduced to our switch innovation that is eliminating infrastructure barriers to IP telephony adoption. The award winning Phybridge PoLRE switches are changing the way customers are thinking about infrastructure requirements for IP telephony deployment. Today we are going to:
Challenge the paradigm that IP telephony migration is costly and complex.
Provide you choice on how best to support your IPT migration to help maximize your ROI and reduce your TCO.
How moving to IP Telephony can be cost effective, simple, robust with a lot less risk and disruption.
Let’s review the agenda.
The PoLRE switch was designed with you the customer in mind. (if partner presentation add partner)
The award winning PoLRE switches transform this existing, proven reliable voice infrastructure into an IP path with Power ideal for IP telephony deployment.
The PoLRE switches deliver Ethernet and PoE over a single pair with 4 times the reach of traditional switches.
Point to the image:
Downlink ports: Managed switches - each connector supports 24 end points - RJ21 cable.
Uplink Ports - similar to other layer two switches - two one gigabit Ethernet ports, two one gigabit Fiber ports,
Transition
Lets look at how the PoLRE switch fits in your design.
.
With Phybridge you now have options on how to achieve an all IP platform without having to compromise and retain old digital or analog endpoints.
Ultimately you have an all IP platform that is able to deliver all the UC applications delivering a robust experience.
We look at the topologies; (Use Pointer)
The first is where you have IP phones off your traditional data switches and IP phones off of PoLRE switches leveraging your existing voice infrastructure.
The second topology is where the Phybridge PoLRE switch supports all IP phones complimenting and extending the data LAN.
The PoLRE switch supports both topologies and provides you flexibility and options that best suites your business and desired results.
Transition
Lets look at some of the benefits being realized by Cisco Customers Using the PoLRE switch for their IP migration.
The PoLRE switch has many of the features found in enterprise grade switches:
24 & 48 port configuration, stackable to thousands of users.
It delivers Ethernet with PoE over a single pair with 1200 foot reach.
Over 100 times the bandwidth required for voice - 10Mbs dedicated for each end point.
Two Ethernet ports and two fiber port for daisy chaining or spanning tree for redundancy.
Fiber connections for multiple buildings and campus environments.
Console and Management Ports and you can remotely manage the switch.
You can support other IEEE 802.3af compliant devices such as IP cameras, IP Wi-Fi access points, IP Speakers and data devices off the back of the Phone.
Product comes with one year warranty and several maintenance options to fit your requirements.
Transition
The most important aspect of a PoE switch is it’s PoE capabilities - without power the end point cannot function.
The switch has industry leading power capabilities.
The power supply is hot swappable so you can easily replace the power supply if required without having to un rack the switch. On the back of the switches you can connect the switch together so you have power sharing and load balancing between the switch for redundancy.
Also the switch provides the flexibility to use either or a combination of AC and DC power sources.
Setting up power sharing is simple by connecting the switches to each other in the back.
The switch also has intuitive web GUI designed for voice making it simple to configure, mange and troubleshot. You can easily recycle the power on a port with a click of the mouse.
Try to relate to the customer: Is creating a secure platform important to you as you look to migrate to IP telephony? Or in our discovery you indicated security is a key consideration or barrier? Let me describe how you create the most secure topology possible. - Go to the GUI demo.
The switch has enhanced security features. The separate point-to-point infrastructure combined with the ability to lock down a port so only specific MAC address device will work on it makes this one of the most secure strategies available.
Similar to other data switches it will support multiple protocols.
Transition
In addition to the managed switches we have an 8 port unmanaged switch
Again, here is design of your current voice infrastructure.
And with PoLRE Here is your IP voice infrastructure.
Old phone system today, IP telephony tomorrow. Its cost effective, simple and robust.
Three easy steps to IP telephony migration.
Rack, stack, and configure switches in the MDF closet. Connect the Uplink ports of PoLRE switches to IP PBX, router or consolidating switch.
Connect the wiring infrastructure by moving the amphenol connectors off the old PBX and install on the downlink ports of the PoLRE switches. This one move primes 24 end points with Ethernet and PoE.
Disconnect the RJ11 from the old phone and connect to one end of the PhyLink media converter and the other end an RJ45 to the IP phone.
Deployment is complete!
Reliable dedicated Ethernet path for each end point ensuring quality of service with PoE being delivered to the IP phone by the PoLRE switch located in the MDF closet.
Engagement: Do you understand how we transform your existing voice infrastructure into and IP path with power ideal for IP Telephony?
[transition]
Let’s look at how this fits into the overall LAN platform.
Ultimately it is about capturing as much customer wallet share as they look to migrate to IP. Would you not agree?
Lets review customer requirements on a per port basis, how much is being allocated to ROI driving activities, and how much of the customer spend is being realized as Cisco revenue.
We will first look at traditional requirements and compare it to when you add Phybridge to the equation.
LAN assessment: do you agree that Cisco does not recognize any of this as revenue? Typically this is around $10 per port.
IDF closet requirements (this requirements is often underestimated) power, backup power, cooling because of PoE requirements. $60 per port and Cisco realizes non of this.
Cabling, if customer requires this the costs are on the low side $150 per drop and Cisco realize non of this.
Services associated with Planning, configuring and deploying the infrastructure: Cisco might realize some of this spend as revenue.
PoE switch, this is where Cisco realizes the majority of income. Assuming a $50 per port cost with Cisco realizing $35 of this spend.
The total spend in this examples is $345 and Cisco realizes $60(17%). More importantly for the customer there is no ROI in infrastructure spend.
Let’s review what happens when you consider Phybridge in the fold.
No LAN assesments, Little closet requirements (some in the MDF) call it $10 that you do not recognize. No cabling cost and significantly less services costs with Cisco realizing some of it.
On the Phybridge PoE switch side Cisco realizes the lion share with $100 of the $125 spend.
So in total Cisco realizes (105 or 67% of spend) but also shows the customer how to reduce infrastructure costs by $190 per port.
This free’s up budget for more Cisco applications and gear like new data switches, and better IP phones.
Cisco Wallet share is 380% higher plus you can accelerate revenue and eliminate risk or delays.
We are focusing on bringing Ethernet Switch solutions that eliminate infrastructure barriers and allow customers to migrate to IP with confidence. Customers are saving money, simplifying deployment and management while creating a robust platform allowing them to achieve an all IP roleout.
The PoLRE and UniPhyer switches deliver Ethernet and PoE with 4 time the reach of traditional switches over a single pair of wire. Although it supports any 802.3af compliant device, it was designed to help customer move from TDM to and IP voice solution.
The CLEER and EC family deliver fast Ethernet and PoE with 5 times the reach of traditional switches over coax cable. It also supports any 802.3af compliant device. It was designed to support the cost effective move from analog cameras to IP cameras as well as help the hospitality market extend fast Ethernet into the guest rooms.
For the purpose of todays discuss we will focus on how the PoLRE switch can support you IP telephony roleout.
The Phybridge CLEER switch has 24 downlink Ports each able to deliver 100mbs full duplex with PoE+ to an IEEE compliant device.
There is a management and console port for local access into the industry leading management GUI interface.
Two 1 GB Ethernet ports and two 1GB fiber ports for campus like deployments.
CLEER comes standard with PowerWISE technology including:
Power budget of 500w at 110 and 1000w at 220.
Power supply is hot swappable
You can use either AC or DC power source
You can stack up to 4 switches together to create redundancy and power sharing.
You can remotely manage the power for each port. You can be on the other side of the country and remote into the switch and recycle the power on a port for a camera that hangs. No more truck rolls.
The above image represents your typical Analog Camera deployment. You have hour DVR connected to the analog camera via coax cable.
With CLEER the migration is simple Start by racking and stacking the CLEER switch and connecting the uplink port directly into the NVR or consolidating switch for larger deployments.
Next connect the existing coax infrastructure into the downlink ports of the CLEER Switch and lastly
Disconnect the coax from the analog camera and connect into the EC link adapter and from the adapter an RJ45 to the IP Camera.
The Ethernet and PoE is being delivered to the IP end point from the CLEER switch that can be over 2,000ft away.
Deployment is complete. It is that simple. No IDF closet requirements, no disruptions, just a simple, risk free and graceful way to migrate to IP.
Both Ethernet and PoE+ is being delivered to the end point from the switch that maybe over 2,000ft away.
In addition from the EClink adapter to the camera you have the standard 300ft Ethernet reach limits.
The PoE available at the end point will vary depending on type of cable and distance. As you can see at:
300ft you get 30 watts of power,
at 900 ft you get 25 to 26 watts and at 1,700 ft you get 17 to 20 watts.
And on RG6 the switch can push over 14 watts at 2,300ft delivering a full 100mbs full duplex.
No other Ethernet over Coax switch can deliver this combination of power, reach and high speeds.
If additional power is required for the IP camera you can locally power the EClink adapter and push 100w plus to the end point if required.
PoE is the most important part of IP camera deployment. If the power fails the camera goes dead. The Phybridge CLEER switch comes standard with industry leading power capabilities.
You can stack up to four switch together creating a powerful redundant backbone. If one power supply fails the other three in the stack support the Power requirements of the failed unit.
In addition the power supply is hot swappable meaning in the event a unit does fail you can simple remove the existing power supply and replace it with a new one.
For flexibility you can use AC or DC power for the switch.
I would like to stop here and ask if there any questions.
In addition to IP Cameras the CLEER switch can be used for IP access points, IP phones, IP TV. It will enable any IEEE 802.3af and 802.3at compliant device.
PHYBRIDGE IS A PROVEN COMPANY WITH SATISFIED CUSTOMERS.

We have two categories of Long Reach switches;
Single pair Unshielded twisted pair primarily leveraging your existing voice infrastructure.
Coax switch family primarily for IP Camera migration.
The focus today is on our two wire solution.
Focus on customers in same vertical as audience.
With over 250,000 users globally the Phybridge switch innovation is proven to eliminate infrastructure barriers for Fortune 500 companies, hotel chains, local, state and federal governments, and large Universities from around the world…
Transition
Phybridge helped these customers eliminate infrastructure barrier and successfully migrate to IP Telephony, saving money, simplifying deployment and management while delivering a robust platform.
Let’s discuss what some of the barriers are and to see if you can relate to any of them.
.
These two customers each had many locations globally.
The fact that the voice infrastructure is exactly the same at every location allowed for a repeatable predictable and scalable deployment across every location.
They were able to create a completely separate voice solution enhancing security and creating a very simple network to manage.
K to 12 schools are finding our solution very attractive given the long runs and the fact that every location has the same voice infrastructure topology allowing for a repeatable, predictable, and scalable deployment across every location.
York Region District School Board is using Phybridge PoLRE switches to migrate over 200 schools to IP telephony.
Significant time savings and financial savings are being realized with the Phybridge solution.
Tuesday, January 20, 2015
Pennsylvania state government wanted to move to a hosted IP platform.
Phybridge partner was able to leverage the Phybridge switch and complete 7 proof of concept sites in a single day without significant planning, customer network requirements and approvals.
They simply leverage the existing CAT3 voice infrastructure and created a separate IP voice path.
The PoC were a huge success - no disruption, eliminate barriers, and ultimately decided to move forward.
They used the Phybridge switches for over 4,000 end points including this one site with over 2,000 users.
New Mexico State started their migration and experienced some issues.
The costs and complexity experience once started the project was concerning.
They thought that they would have to maintain a significant amount of analog phones given the costs and requirements. This was something they did not want.
They were introduced to the PoLRE switch and requested a proof of concept.
After the PoC they decided to proceed with PoLRE and migrate more end points to IP phones.
Over 4,000 IP phones will be on a PoLRE backbone once complete and they estimate savings of a million dollars plus.
We have a customer interview video available so you can here first hand the technical value and the operational value being realized.
Engagement: Would you like me to forward you the link to the video?

Palms Hotel is not unlike many other hotels that we helped migrate to IP.
They wanted to update their phone system and improve bandwidth availability for guests but the disruption, costs, and complexity was too high a barrier. There focus is first their operations, than guest experience.
The Phybridge switch was tremendous value: (point to the images on the slide)
The long reach capability and leveraging the existing voice infrastructure gave them the greatest flexibility.
They are able to identify the end points they wanted to move to IP starting with operations and move the pairs to a Phybridge backbone and deploy the IP phone.
They are able to enhance the experience and improve bandwidth for the executive floors by identifying the pairs and moving them over to a Phybridge backbone.
The alternative is to deal with many IDF closets, new wiring, inefficient POE utilization and network complexity - a non starter for many hotels.
