HOURS?
Flexible working time is arrangement
that allows employees to work with the
normal number of working hours, but
has the flexibility regarding the time
they start and stop working.
According to Business Dictionary,
Flexible Working is a work schedule that
allows employees to adjust their
working hours to follow personal
responsibility. But usually flexible time
have certain core working hours, such
as 10:00 to 15:00 to allow for work
meetings and interaction among
employees.
Example:
• Pregnant women face particular challenges
in the workplace caused by changes in the
body that make the conditions impaired
performance. With the implementation of
flexible working hours can cut the number of
sick days from pregnant women. Pregnant
women will pay more attention to health so
stay productive at work, it becomes an
advantage for the company.
• The events that occur beyond the control
of humans as gridlocked morning after they
were departed from the company will
compensate the home for longer than usual.
This policy will be favored by employees
because they will be detached from
emotional distress.
we can see the advantages of flexible
time for employees include work-life
balance, reduces fatigue, more holidays,
lower treatment costs, and reduced
absenteeism. A new study finds that
greater flexibility can reduce
absenteeism, improve employee health
and even help strengthen employee
commitment.
Benefits for the Company include
the workers are motivated to
work better, more efficiently and
effectively, reducing fatigue in
work, reduce the cost of labor,
which required fewer facilities,
lowering costs.
Benefits for employers, flexible
time can help recruiting
employees, improving the
provision of opportunities for
employees who are able to work
with standard office hours.
Although many advantages of flexible
working hours, but there are also side effects
of the boundary
between work and personal lives of employees getting
thinner.
Flexible time does not mean we can steal time for personal
interests
As well as decreased employee discipline.
Employees sometimes overwhelmed in deciding his own
when he would start and finish work.
The company will still assessing discipline employees.
Socializing with co-workers is also important. A time to eat
lunch with them so intertwined compactness.
Conclusion
Flexible working time is arrangement that
allows employees to work with the normal
number of working hours, but has the
flexibility regarding the time they start and
stop working. Benefits for employees include
flexible time work-life balance, reduces
fatigue, more holidays, lower treatment
costs, and reduced absenteeism. Therefore
it is better for companies to implement
flexible working hours for employees.
