3. Tavoite
Selvittää pikajuoksijoiden ja hyppääjien tyypillisimmät
vammaprofiilit, jotta vammoja ennaltaehkäisevät
toimenpiteet voitaisiin suunnitella entistä kohdennetummin
urheilijakohtaisella tasolla
1. Spinttereiden ja hyppääjien tyypilliset vammat (mitä vammoja, kuinka
paljon?)
2. Lajianalyysia vamman näkökulmasta (missä tilanteessa ko. vammat
tapahtuvat?)
3. Kuinka harjoittelua voisi kohdentaa paremmin ennaltaehkäisyn
näkökulmasta?

Design
Prospective cohort study conducted during a 52-week period.
Setting
Male and female youth and adult athletics athletes ranked in the
top 10 in Sweden (n=292).
Results
199 (68%) athletes reported an injury during the study season.
Ninety-six per cent of the reported injuries were non-traumatic
(associated with overuse). Most injuries (51%) were severe,
causing a period of absence from normal training exceeding 3
weeks.

7. Sprinttereiden ja hyppääjien
vamma-alttius
”Separating the event subgroups, the most
frequent diagnosis in sprinters was
hamstring strain (23.5%)….while jumpers mostly
had thigh injuries with gradual onset (11.2%) and
hamstring strains (10.2%).”

In conclusion, subjects who produced the
greatest amount of horizontal force were both
able to highly activate their hamstring muscles
just before ground contact and present high
eccentric hamstring peak torque capability
LIIKUNTAFYSIO
11. The highest level of horizontal ground reaction force production was observed in subjects who had both the
highest torque production capability of the hip extensors (especially hamstring muscles in eccentric mode) and
the highest hamstring EMG activity during the end-of-swing phase over the entire sprint acceleration.

Conclusions
As peak musculotendon force and strain for biceps femoris (long head), semitendinosus and
semimembranosus occurred around the same time during terminal swing, it is suggested that this
period in the stride cycle may be when the biarticular hamstrings are at greatest injury risk.
On this basis, hamstring injury prevention or rehabilitation programs should
preferentially target strengthening exercises that involve eccentric contractions
performed with high loads at longer musculotendon lengths.

14. Influence of Hip-Flexion Angle on Hamstrings
Isokinetic Activity in Sprinters
Journal of Athletic Training 2012;47(4):390–395
Conclusions:
Hip-flexion angle influenced hamstrings peak torque in all
muscular contraction types; as hip flexion increased,
hamstrings peak torque increased. Researchers should
investigate further whether an eccentric resistance
training program at sprint-specific hip-flexion
angles (70 dgs to 80 dgs) could help prevent
hamstrings injuries in sprinters. Moreover,
hamstrings-to-quadriceps ratio assessment
should be standardized at 80 dgs of hip flexion.

16. Yhteenvetoa
Sprinttereiden ja hyppääjien yksi
tyypillisimmistä vammoista on takareiden
lihasryhmään (biceps femoris,
semitendinosus, semimenbranous)
kohdentuva repeämävamma.
Suurin lihastason aktiivisuus
täysvauhtisessa juoksussa kohdentuu ko.
lihaksistoon loppuheilahdusvaiheessa juuri
ennen askelkontaktia. Lihas työskentelee
tällöin eksentrisesti pidentyneessä
asennossa.
• Pikajuoksijoiden harjoittelun tulisi
sisältää vaihtelevalla
liikenopeudella tehtyjä eksentrisiä
lihasvoimaharjoitteita, joissa lihas
joutuu työskentelemään
pidentyneessä asennossa lonkan
70-80 asteen fleksiokulmilla
• Samaan harjoitusliikkeeseen tulisi
liittää pakaralihasten jarruttava
lihastyö
• Nopea liikesuunnan ja
lihastyötavan muutosta
eksentrisestä konsentriseksi on
harjoiteltava.
• Harjoitukset vaativat riittävän hyvän
lihaskunto- ja liikehallintapohjan
sekä riittävät
liikkuvuusominaisuudet
