I currently play the role of CTO within the Unit at Telefónica in charge of the development of Telefónica's IoT and Smart Cities platform. This role is combined with my role as coordinator and Chief Architect of FIWARE (http://fiware.org).
FIWARE is an open platform which integrates advanced OpenStack-based Cloud capabilities and a library of Generic Enablers making it easier to develop innovative applications in multiple sectors. Generic Enablers cover areas such as connection to Internet of Things, Context Management, Media stream processing, Open Data publication, Big Data analysis or the cross-selling and co-creation of applications.
