To Paul Berton,
Do you like polar bears? Do you think your readership does? If so, then I have
interesting news for you, Hudson the polar bear is celebrating his second birthday on
December 7th
, 2013 from 9.30 am until 5:30 pm at the Toronto Zoo! For this occasion,
Build-a-Bear and Polar Bears International have joined forces with the Toronto Zoo to
organize a fun event for the whole family. This event hopes to raise awareness to the
endangerment of polar bears worldwide, as well as the ongoing issue of Global Warming.
Visitors will be able to enter the Toronto Zoo for free on December 7th
, 2013. Additionally,
Build-a-Bear will have an outlet near Hudson's facility in the Tundra Treki so visitors can
build a special edition “Hudson the Polar Bear” stuffed animal as a souvenir. This
purchase supports a good cause since Build-a-Bear will donate 30 per cent of the
proceeds to Polar Bears International’s education fund. Polar Bears International is a not-
for-profit organization with the aim to raise awareness and stop the melting of the pack
ice around the Arctic Circle, as it is the natural habitat of polar bears.ii Enclosed within
this media kit are more details regarding this event, including; a poster, press release,
news article, backgrounder sheet about the company, fact sheet about Polar Bears
International, as well as a summary of key personnel.
