3. JANE MCGONIGAL CAPTURED THE ATTENTION OF HER
AUDIENCE BY GIVING INFORMATION ABOUT HERSELF AS
WELL AS INFORMING THE AUDIENCE OF HER PLAN TO SAVE
THE WORLD BY HAVING MORE PEOPLE PLAY ONLINE VIDEO
GAMES.
4. SHE KEPT THE AUDIENCE INTERESTED BY GIVING
STATISTICS AND ALSO USING HUMOR IN STUDIES DONE.
6. Ms. Mcgonigal constantly reminded the audience
that she has a passion for making games and made
games based off of real life situations to see how
well people would do.
7. On a scale of 1-5 I would give Ms.
Mcgonigal a 4.
8. I feel Ms. Mcgonigal could have touched on the more
interesting points in her speech and projected her voice
a bit more.

11. • When comparing Jane McGonigal to Sir Ken Robinson. Sir
Robinson tends to get his message out more clearly than
what Ms. Mcgonigal does.
• Sir Ken Robinson’s idea of restructuring the entire worlds
education system and the idea of sedating children who are
restless, seems to be a more effective and less cost
effective course of action.
• Ms. Mcgonigal’s idea of having people play 3 billion hours a
week of online games, would require most people to find
the time to play games, and figure out what the message is
behind those games in order to fulfill her dream of saving
the world by people playing video games.
12. • The way Ms. Mcgonigal uses her voice during
presentation is completely different than the way
Sir Ken Robinson uses his.
• Sir Robinson projects his voice better and also
uses life stories that have a funny side to them.
• Ms. Mcgonigal tends to use the funny side of the
studies that have been done in order to to keep
the audience drawn in, Ms. Mcgonigal also
doesn’t project her voice as well.

14. • Tips I can give to my classmates are to speak up
and project your voice when speaking.
• Posture will help your voice carry and will come
from your diaphragm more easily.
• Eye contact will help your audience maintain
interest as well as making them feel like your
speech is directed towards them.
• Practice makes perfect and will make giving your
speech easier if you know what you are going to
be saying.
