3. Fonts
• The fonts decided to use both are very unique but both
contrast each other well. The first font, Schreibmaschine, is
the master head font for the front cover and the headers of
each double page spread. I chose this font because of the
boldness of it, as it is very dark and has lots of extra mess
around it which could stand out to a first time buyer.
• The second font I chose was, Adine Kirnberg Regular, this is
for the textual parts of the magazine. So for the captions and
the tips. I chose this font because it’s a very complex font
which is appealing to look at which can captivate a reader to
want more to read.
4. Colour Schemes
• The colour schemes I chose to use were monochrome and a
minimalistic colour spectrum.
• I chose the monochromatic style because it’s a bold style to
use and it’s hard to create a good piece of monochromatic
photography, also that means that I can show my editing
skills, which can up the standard of my photography.
• I then chose the minimalistic colour spectrum because there
is a big contrast to the monochromatic style, which can show
the best of both worlds of photographic styles. Which can add
more depth to the magazine showing different styles so that it
appeals to different people.
5. Layout Styles
• The layout style I will most likely use a a very minimalistic one
like above on the right, to show a sign of minimalism but also
to make the magazine predominantly focus on the
photography, instead the other content.
• Other styles I might try are more including more content in
the textual way, so that I talk more about the photography, or
photographer. So that then I can really elaborate about what
the photography means.
• Another style I could try is fitting the words around the image,
which could make the image pop out as its not the soul focus
but is still very out there.

Monochrome front cover
because it can be
intriguing to see at first
glance, and then you can
see the colour but it
would be an emphasis to
the reader as they were
originally exposed to a
monochrome start to the
magazine.
The font will be the two
listed in the style sheet so
the master head would be
‘Schreibmaschine’ which
is quite blotchy which can
also captivate the reader
as it stands out to other
magazines.

This page will be full

which will make the

could captivate the
reader to see the rest

my concept behind
the photo, so that
there is some context

magazine.

9. Contingency Planning
Potential Issue Solution
No Studio. Improvise at home.
Camera batteries/ no SD card. Make sure to have extra batteries and make
sure that I have lots of SD card space.
No paint for the ‘Human Canvas’. Make sure that I have paint and that there’s
enough to try different techniques, angles and
styles.
Timings. Make sure that there is a set plan and that
there is a schedule that is easy to understand
and stick too.
Kit. Make sure that everything I use works and that
if there is a problem then I get the right help
rather than trying to fix the problem myself.
While editing, computer crashes. Make sure that I back everything up on another
device and that I save every 15 mins.
10. Health and Safety
Potential Issue How will the issue be
avoided?
Short Circuiting Devices Makes sure there are no loose wires.
Not Adjusting Chair Correctly Makes sure I take breaks and walk around so I
don’t get backache and making sure the chair is
comfortable enough.
Eye Strain Make sure every so often to adjust the
brightness settings on my screen. There will be
breaks every few hours so that this doesn’t
happen.
Don’t Spill Food Or Drink On Devices Make sure to not have food and drink with me
while editing or recording so that there is no
risk of a spill.
Dropping picture frame Make sure that the frame is being held with a
good grip and that we take breaks and swap
every so often.
