Make your 3-5 a daily Devotion
• On the front of an Index Card write:
– “I intend (goal) ((with specific timeframe for
completion)).
• On the back of the card write 4-8:
– “I know this is true because (why)”.

• Read all five cards each morning and
night – make it a habit.


Example daily Devotion
• “I intend to join “your goal here” in August
2010 and become a RVP by YE.”

• “I know this is true because It will be fun
competing with Lisa”.
• “I know this is true because I get the
opportunity.”
• “I know this is true because I understand the
process.”
• “I know this is true because I face my fears
and can work the process.”

Resolution vs. Habit

• Hold yourself accountable with support

• Revisit your “10” and “100” and listen to
your gut to achieve what’s next!

Motivation Goal Setting
• Goals need to be personal –not some one
else’s idea of what you should accomplish.

• Goal setting is all about setting your sights
on something you wish to achieve or
change.

• You then make a plan --and move toward
that result.

Realistic
• But, first, you must know what is in your
control to fix or change !!!
• You must be able to make realistic
assessments of what is within your ability
to change –and what is not.
• Too often, we attempt to fix what we
cannot or should not.


Attainable
• A clear goal has to be realistic. It should
be challenging, yet attainable.

• Set high goals –but make sure they are
within your reach otherwise you are
dooming yourself for failure.


Dream to Goal to Plan
• A clear goal must have a road map.

• Simplify the goal into manageable and
bite-size steps.

• Once you have a long-range goal, you will
need some short and midrange steps to
achieve it.
