Day Operations Supervisor - Surfactants
Experienced leader in all aspects of producing Sulfur based Sulfonic Acids Surfactants. Also experienced in processing and
handling of hazardous materials consumed in or produced during this process including Sulfuric Acid, Hydrogen Peroxide,
Methanol, Ethanol and Caustic. Experienced in the production of amides and a variety of other specialty surfactants for
consumer goods and the oil industries.
Have extensive knowledge in falling film reactors , distillation columns, batch reactors, turbo tube dryers, air handling
systems, air drying and conversion of sulfur to SO2 and SO3 gas. Have extensive experience in dry material handling
systems, bucket elevators, rotary valves, vibrating screens and screw conveyors.
Day to day responsibilities include planning and scheduling product changeovers, raw material deliveries, coordinating
outbound shipments, managing of operations schedule, overtime, vacation absence coverage, etc. and planning day to day
activities for the Surfactants operating unit.

Unit Lead – Surfactants
Led approximately 8 team members in all operations for the Surfactants production unit, including unit startup, continuous
operations and shutdown. Responsible for producing in -specification product at optimum production rates and achieving
the plant designed OEE rates.
Completed the current versions of the SOP’s for the Surfactants unit starting with the original OEM documentation and
applying the operating learning from 10 years of continuous production. Led efforts to review and signoff all SOP’s with a
cross functional team formed from engineering and production.
Increased OEE by taking part of a team to increase production rates by 20% from 2009-2010.
Implemented team to assist in increasing CPM from 52% to 59%in 2010-2011.
