Dear New Look Nation,
The United to Ignite luncheon was a success!
Thanks to our village of supporters, over 400 individuals united on behalf of Usher’s
New Look to honor individuals who are engaged in igniting youth and to raise
awareness about the impact of the organization. The luncheon was a huge success
generating revenue of over $832,000.
Ludacris received the Ignitor of Service Award, and once again proved to be a
tremendous emcee and auctioneer. His relationship with Usher’s New Look spans
over a decade. With his help, we were able to raise $340,000 in 15 minutes for
programs during our live auction! $300,000 of this amount came from pledges to
expand our Powered by Service Leadership Trainings to new domestic and
international cities. Thank you to our sponsors Southwest
Airlines, Travelers, Georgia Power, Ford Motor Company, Ludacris
Foundation, Arby's, SunTrust and PayPal for pledging during this part of the live
auction.

45 UNL students representing Detroit, Milwaukee, New York, Los Angeles and Atlanta
were in attendance, and there was at least one student seated at every guest’s table.
Thank you for all of your support! It will take the enduring efforts of a village working
collaboratively to ignite the next generation of youth leaders, and we felt the love and
support from our extended community during this event.

It was an honor and privilege to be invited and perform for Mr. Usher Raymond IV and all of the
individuals that attended the Usher's New Look 16th Anniversary Luncheon and Award Ceremony.
My experience with Usher's New Look hasn't been anything short of a blessing, and each year more and
more unforgettable memories are created. When I look at my life and focus on where I started, where I
am now, and how much further I have to go, I can't help but smile at the amount of growth
and achievements that were catalyzed by the many experiences that were provided by Usher's
New Look. This line from the Usher's New Look pledge has never resonated with me more than it
has these past few days: "If I believe in myself, and to me I stay true, there's nothing I can't achieve
and there's nothing I can't do." I am humbled and thankful. "We are blessed so that we can be a
