Adverbs, like adjectives, can be used in three forms:
 positive
 comparative
 superlative

9. Positive adverbs
 Positive adverbs are used when no comparison is
made. e.g. The sun shone brightly.

 Comparative adverbs are used when two people,
animals or things are compared.
 The comparative form is usually made by adding the
words more or less before the adverb.

 Superlative adverbs are used when three or more
people, animals or things are compared.
 The superlative form is usually made by adding most
or least before the adverb.

 Some adverbs have an irregular form when they are
used in their comparative or superlative forms.
