One LifeVest’s Serum Transforms Use of Natural Ingredient
The launch of One LifeVest’s new anti-aging serum last month marks a clear watershed
moment in the use of a key new ingredient, Hyaluronic acid. The wellness and beauty
company is aiming to meet growing global demand for natural skin-care solutions.
Hyaluronic acid has been in use since early 2003, when the Federal Drug Administration
first approved its application.1
A quick survey of FDA studies shows that clinicians have
traditionally utilized Hyaluronic acid in injections, meant for serious epidemiological
surgeries.2
Yet, its inclusion in everyday cosmetic products is relatively new.
That’s not to say there is a shortfall in scientific evidence behind Hyaluronic acid’s
effectiveness. Chemists have discovered that the ingredient “increases the presence of
retinoic acid, causing skin hydration.” Beyond that, Hyaluronic acid facilitates the
function of “collagen synthesis.”3
Collagen is akin to a rubber band that snaps your skin
back together when you smile and stretch; yet stress and age can keep it permanently
loose. When collagen synthesis is stimulated by Hyaluronic acid, it tightens this “rubber
band”, reversing the loosening effect of aging and third party agents.
So, while One LifeVest isn’t the first to use Hyaluronic acid to tighten skin, it is among
the first in the industry to make it available in an easy-to-use and affordable format. In
fact, the serum is designed to integrate seamlessly into quotidian beauty routines. After a
quick wash, users simply rub the serum onto their skin and let it absorb.
One LifeVest is attempting to showcase Hyaluronic acid’s effectiveness, and its serum’s
ease of use, to a public that is increasing its demand for anti-aging solutions. According
to the market research firm Research and Markets, the global Hyaluronic Acid market is

The report also notes a growing trend
towards “premium-priced shorter treatment regimes,” moving away from costly
injections and long-term programs that last years. One LifeVest hopes to harp on this
trend by making its serum affordable and immediately useful.
Yet, despite the growing demand for natural anti-aging solutions, One LifeVest founder
Magdelena Solihin believes that the Vitamin C + Hyaluronic serum is just a start. She
envisions an entire “One LifeVest lifestyle,” where a mix of product innovation and
natural ingredients makes customers’ lives simple and beautiful.
