10 Ways To Improve Your Personality
Here are some ways we can accomplish this:
1. Be a better listener.
being an exceptional listener. Look at the eye of a person,
hang on their every word, and make them feel important.
There is nothing more appealing than having someone
listen to you intently making you feel like you're the only
person in the world.
2. Read more and expand your interests.
The more you read and cultivate new interests, the
more interesting you are to others. When you meet new
people it gives you the opportunity to share what you know
and to exchange your views with them.
3. Be a good conversationalist.
This relates to how much you read and know. Once you have much
to contribute, learn how to talk about it with others. No one can
read about or know everything, so it's refreshing to learn from
others those things we don't have the time to about read ourselves.
CIMI
23
10 Ways To Improve Your Personality
4. Have an Opinion.
A conversation has nowhere to go if you have
nothing to expound on. If, however, you have
an uncommon point of view or differing
opinion, you are more interesting and
stimulating to be with socially. A unique
outlook expands everyone's perspective.
5. Meet New People.
Make the effort to meet new people especially
those unlike you. It not only exposes you to
different cultures and alternative ways of doing
things, it broadens your horizons.
6. Be yourself.
Molding yourself in order to fit in, or be
accepted, usually backfires. Since each of us
is unique, expressing that uniqueness is what
makes us interesting.
CIMI

10 Ways To Improve Your Personality
7. Be supportive of others.
Being supportive is probably the most
endearing quality you can integrate
into your personality. Just as you
yourself welcome it, be the support for
others when they need it. We all love
a cheerleader in our corner; someone
who is encouraging, believes in us and
helps pick us up when we're down.
8. Have Integrity and treat people
with respect.
Being honest and true to your word will
bring you the admiration, respect and
gratitude of others. Nothing improves
a person's personality more
than integrity and respect - respect for
others, as well as respect for yourself.
CIMI

10 Ways To Improve Your Personality

9. Have a positive outlook and attitude.
Who wants to be around people who are negative,
complain a lot, or have nothing good to say? In
fact, most of us run when we see them coming.
Instead, be the kind of upbeat person who lights
up a room with your energy when you enter it. Do
it by looking for the best in people and things.
Smile warmly, spread good cheer, and enliven
others with your presence.

10. Be fun and see the humorous side of
life.
Everyone enjoys the company of someone who
makes them laugh, or smile, so look for
the humorous, quirky side in a situation - there
always is one. When you can add fun and
lightheartedness to an otherwise dull or gloomy
setting, others will naturally be attracted to you,
not to mention grateful.

Introducing Stress Management
There are very many proven skills that we can use to manage stress. These help us to
remain calm and effective in high pressure situations, and help us avoid the problems of
long term stress.
37
"stress is not necessarily something
bad – it all depends on how you take
it. The stress of exhilarating, creative
successful work is beneficial, while
that of failure, humiliation or infection
is detrimental."
CIMIManaging Stress
Create Calm in Your Career
38
Reactions to Stress------These are the "fight or flight"
Our brains then release stress hormones that prepare the body to
either "fly" from the threat, or "fight" it. This energizes us, but it also
makes us excitable, anxious, and irritable.
Signs of Stress
Everyone reacts to stress differently. However, some common
signs and symptoms of the fight or flight response include:
Frequent headaches.
Cold or sweaty hands and feet.
Frequent heartburn, stomach pain, or nausea.
Panic attacks.
Excessive sleeping, or insomnia.
Persistent difficulty concentrating.
Obsessive or compulsive behaviors.
Social withdrawal or isolation.
Constant fatigue.
Irritability and angry episodes.
Significant weight gain or loss.
Consistent feelings of being overwhelmed or overloaded.
CIMI
39
Consequences of Stress
Stress impacts our ability to do our jobs effectively, and it affects how we
work with other people. This can have a serious impact on our careers, and
well as on our general well-being and relationships.
The first step in managing stress is to understand where
these feeling are coming from.
a stress diary
>to identify the causes of short-term or frequent
stress in your life. As you write down events,
think about why this situation stresses you out.
>to understanding the causes of short-term
stress in your life.
>give you an important insight into how you
react to stress, and they help you to identify the
levels of pressure at which you prefer to
operate. (After all, a little bit of pressure can be
a good thing!)

STRESS
Managing Your Time
Your workload can cause stress, if you
don't manage your time well. This can be a
key source of stress for very many people.
CIMI
Without Time Management, nothing
is possible, with Time Management
all things are possible. Time is the
most precious possession of the
human race. Time does not wait for
any body who so ever is a person
either a manager or a worker. One
who kills time, kills his and his
company progresses.
41
CIMI
1. Failing to Keep a To-Do List
2. Not Setting Personal Goals
3. Not Prioritizing
4. Failing to Manage Distractions
5. Procrastination- postpone doing something
6. Multitasking- tendency lack of concentration
7. Taking on too Much- too many projects and commitments (lead to poor performance, stress, and
low morale.
8. Thriving on "Busy“-The narrowly-met deadlines (What an adrenaline buzz!)
9. Not Taking Breaks- Try to take a five minute break every hour or two. And make
sure that you give yourself ample time for lunch – you won't produce top quality work if
you're hungry!
10. Ineffectively Scheduling Tasks- All of us have different rhythms, that is, different
times of day when we feel most productive and energetic.
You can make best use of your time by scheduling high-value work during your peak time, and
low-energy work (like returning phone calls and checking email), during your "down" time.

Beat Work Overload. Be More Effective. Achieve More.
Time Management for Teachers
Time management for teachers helps
teachers meet the demands of their job.
With papers to grade and classes to
prepare, teaching can feel overwhelming.
Time management for teachers saves you
time without compromising the quality of
your teaching.
Teachers face unique time management
issues.
CIMI
44
Teacher time management can be broken up
into:
fixed classroom times in which you are
teaching and
the one to three hours a day that you have
outside of class in which you need to do
routine administrative tasks, make phone
calls, and prepare lesson plans.
An important part of a teacher's job is to
prepare materials and to be available for
students and parents outside of classroom
hours.
CIMI
45
Time management for teachers will:
provide you with stress relief and greater
job satisfaction
increase your efficiency and effectiveness
in the classroom
give you more time and improve the quality
of your lessons.
CIMI
46
This makes time management for teachers important for
you and your students.
Four teacher time management tips.
These include:
Plan your workday
Focus on your important and urgent activities
Organize yourself and your workspace

Look at the eye of a person, hang on their every word, and make them feel important. There is nothing more appealing than having someone listen to you intently making you feel like you're the only person in the world. 2. Read more and expand your interests. The more you read and cultivate new interests, the more interesting you are to others. When you meet new people it gives you the opportunity to share what you know and to exchange your views with them. 3. Be a good conversationalist. This relates to how much you read and know. Once you have much to contribute, learn how to talk about it with others. No one can read about or know everything, so it's refreshing to learn from others those things we don't have the time to about read ourselves.
  • 23. CIMI 23 10 Ways To Improve Your Personality 4. Have an Opinion. A conversation has nowhere to go if you have nothing to expound on. Meet New People. Make the effort to meet new people especially those unlike you. It not only exposes you to different cultures and alternative ways of doing things, it broadens your horizons. 6. • 24. CIMI 24 10 Ways To Improve Your Personality 7. Be supportive of others. Being supportive is probably the most endearing quality you can integrate into your personality. Just as you yourself welcome it, be the support for others when they need it. We all love a cheerleader in our corner; someone who is encouraging, believes in us and helps pick us up when we're down. 8. Have Integrity and treat people with respect. Being honest and true to your word will bring you the admiration, respect and gratitude of others. Nothing improves a person's personality more than integrity and respect - respect for others, as well as respect for yourself.
  • 25. CIMI 25 10 Ways To Improve Your Personality   9. Have a positive outlook and attitude. Who wants to be around people who are negative, complain a lot, or have nothing good to say? In fact, most of us run when we see them coming. Instead, be the kind of upbeat person who lights up a room with your energy when you enter it. Do it by looking for the best in people and things. Smile warmly, spread good cheer, and enliven others with your presence.   10. Be fun and see the humorous side of life. Everyone enjoys the company of someone who makes them laugh, or smile, so look for the humorous, quirky side in a situation - there always is one. When you can add fun and lightheartedness to an otherwise dull or gloomy setting, others will naturally be attracted to you, not to mention grateful. Coffee/Life
