Preschool children under 5 years should be physically active
throughout the day
Children and adolescents who are 6 to 17 years old need to do at
least 1 hour of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity each day
Adults should do at least 150 to 300 minutes a week of moderate-
intensity or 75 minutes to 150 minutes a week
Older adults should do at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity
aerobic activity a week with consideration for existing conditions
Pregnant and post-partum women should consult their obstetrician and
if possible, do a minimum of 150 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic
activity spread out through the week
