PROPOSED STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES FOR NEWCO POWER LTD
Following are the proposed Objectives:
1. Increaseelectricity generation to meet present and futuredemand through
the attraction of both privateand public sector investmentand integration
of environmentalconcerns.
2. Promote energy efficiency and demand-sidemanagement practices.
3. Strengthen national and regional electricity transmission and distribution
infrastructureand enhance regional collaboration in electricity regulation.
4. Increase Commercial, Operational & Technical (COT) efficiency in electricity,
generation, transmission and distribution.
5. Promote reasonableand fair pricing of electricity services taken in
consideration of national interests.
6. Promote Transparency, Accountability and Objectivity (TAO) to all
stakeholders.
7. Enhance good governance, internal operating efficiency and sustainability
of NEWCO Power Ltd.
8. Enhance human capital management.
9. Improveuseof technology and promote optimal utilization of
organizationalassets.
10.Look and promote renewable energy whereappropriate.
11.Strengthen the policy, legal and institutional framework in the Energy
Policies / Plans.
Note: Strategies will be drawn up to supportthe Strategic Objectives stated.
