“DIFFICULTIES EXPERIENCED BY
PHYSICAL EDUCATION PROGRAM
INSTRUCTORS OF HED-SLMCS IN
TEACHING MAJOR P.E. SUBJECTS
ONLINE”
WHY CHOOSE THE TOPIC?
• The current pandemic all have brought great challenges not
only to students but also its teachers and the challenge of
creating supportive and positive one made the teachers
create different strategies to ensure that learners will still
be able to experience this even in the security of their
homes.
• The implementation and evaluation of an effective
may have its ups and downs but this research will
narrate the difficulties encountered by the subject
teachers teaching Physical Education in their
department. Thus the contents of this research will
further help in the development of future plans to
reduce or even remove the encountered problems.
STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
1. What are the difficulties encountered by the PE
teachers in teaching Physical Education using the
online platform in terms of the following:
a. Internet Connection
b. Strategies in teaching
c. Students attitude in learning
2.What are the edge in using the online platform in
teaching P.E.?
3. What are the downsides in using the online
platform in teaching P.E.?
PARTICIPANTS, RESPONDENTS &
TECHNIQUE USED
• Physical Education Instructors in the Higher
Education of Saint Louise De Marillac College of
Sorsogon (SLMCS).
• Qualitative Research since it focuses on the
experiences of the P.E Instructors during the
new normal. Their answers will be analyzed
carefully and summarized to answer the
questions of the research.
RESEARCH DESIGN
• The researcher used reflexive thematic analysis
as a method in the analyzation of data in
qualitative form to answer various questions
about people’s experiences, ideas, view,
principles and judgements.
INSTRUMENTATION/TOOL USED:
• Interview Form
• Interviews were structured using the statement
of the problem, questions in connection with the
Statements of the problems were carefully made.
Questions were administered to the respondents
and were assured that whatever answers that
they have will be treated with outmost
confidentiality. Answers are carefully analysed
and validated to answer the research problem.
