John Semujju Mulimira has over 15 years of experience working in monitoring and evaluation roles for organizations focused on water and sanitation, education, health, and livelihood programs in Uganda. He holds a Master of Public Health degree and a Master of Arts in Development Studies. Currently, he works as the Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Officer for the Water and Sanitation Development Facility – South West, a European Union funded program. Brief Profile
Over the years John Semujju Mulimira has grown through ranks as he worked with both Non-
Government and Government programmes across the Country. Currently, John is the senior
monitoring and evaluation officer with Water and Sanitation Development Facility – South West
(WSDF-SW); a programme funded by the European Union through Austrian Development Agency.
Previously, John served with WSDF-N – a programme in northern Uganda funded by the Germany
Development Bank (KfW), World Vision Uganda funded by United States Department of Labour
(USDOL), and other sponsors from Australia, New Zealand, USA and Finland.
John holds a double Master of Public Health (MPH, 2013) from Uganda Christian University (UCU),
and Development Studies (M.A, 2008) from Uganda Martyrs University (UMU) with a Bachelor of
Sciences from Makerere University Kampala. Currently, John is pursuing a Post-graduate diploma in
Monitoring and Evaluation at Uganda Management Institute (UMI, Kampala).
John has previously served in different programmes, namely; Education, Health, Livelihood security,
HIV/AIDSand OVCprogramming, and Water and Sanitation. Subsequently, he has acquired softskills
and knowledge in programme designing, monitoring, evaluation and learning, qualitative and
quantitative research, data analysis using SPSS and STATA, Access and Excel, and analytical report
writing along with abilities deemed necessary in the contemporary M&E domain.
