2. This is the long house for HealthCamp 3 – Bintangor.
3. I arrived early to set up the Camp as usual. People movement efficiency is crucial.
4. When the recce team arrived, people were already waiting. The ADUN told us that
there were 248 names registered to come. Our “friends” have last night spread the
word that we were not coming. There were Police down at the main road to
Bintangor. The SB was also here to monitor us.
5. This is the side view of the long house.
During the Camp, one boy fell into the pool. Only the pride was hurt and he was
drenched.
11. The first counter as they enter is the Glucometer counter.

ADUN Ms Ting was instrumental in arranging for the patients to come.
14. ADUN Ms Ting with a loud hailer
Announcing the Q number. We had a Q system.
We saw 308 patients registered. As usual, most patients see more than one
specialist. We must have seen 500 consults.
15. DAP volunteers carrying this patient out after I have seen him.
The patient is tetraparetic. They came any how.
There was also a request for us to do house call on a patient who was
chronically bedridden.
16. The young DAP team were superb. They were easily up to the task and
were a great help to us.
Here Lilian is helping this old man to wear his shoes.
17. It is customary to leave your shoes outside a long house.
No one wears their shoes in
Missing shoes is common, even at this camp.
18. Dr Ng having his BP checked by DAP volunteer. I wonder why?
A sudden bout of “dizziness”?
19. We had lunch at Hock Hin Restaurant. The Sarawak mee was great, so also the
large Patin fish and warm fresh lemon juice.
Witing for transport to fetch us back for afternoon session
20. After the Camp, about 9pm. The clean-up. ADUN Ms Ting helping.
We had to restore tis long house to its original state.

the night.
This was the next morning ( 22nd Jan ). We were carrying our luggage to the
bus, enroute to Sibu airport.
22. A light moment as we wait to load the bus ( behind Billy ).
Front right is Billy, a very hard working DAP volunteer. It was a pleasure working
with them.
23. Saying Thank you and goodbye to Billy.
Time to go.
