John M. Bagcal has over 20 years of experience in education administration and information technology. He currently serves as the IT Department Head at East West Colleges, where he leads the IT department and ensures high performance. Previously he held administrator roles at Eastern Institute of Computer Technology and Metro Data Computer College. He holds a Master in Information Technology degree and teaches a variety of IT and business courses. He has mentored many undergraduate and graduate research projects in IT, business, and education.

achieves the highest possible required performance in all its activities within bound of the

Major Accomplishments
• Played major role from application, permit until recognition of the BSIT course with
CHEDRO-XI from June 2009 – May 2012
• Maintenance of an IT academic standard at par with the colleges and universities of
the region with evidence of the following:
o high employment rate of the graduates (90%)
o improved performance of the College being a 9th
placer at the recent ACM
Mindanaowide Programming Contest last November 14, 2014 held at Ateneo
de Davao University
• Introduction of a competitive software project exposure of students built through
Capstone Projects both in desktop, LAN and web infrastructure with hardware
interfaces such as barcode and SMS
