3. GRANT ACCESS
Grant access to ONLY build OR build

Grant Viewing Rights OR

Authorize to generate forecast
report
Notes:
- Recommend having 2 senior people with Build and Release authority, and a few individuals with Build. This
way junior sailors learn PERSTEMPO and can input information, but ultimate authority to release lies with
primary and secondary PERSTEMPO managers.
- Forecast report aides in verifying if Sailors will meet/break threshold based on OPTEMPO. This will assist
in waiver development.
- EVERYONE who will have access to PERSTEMPO needs mailbox administration access. Viewing rights will only
give access to see information. Administration rights will give access to view and grant/manipulate other
individuals’ access.
- Select the application you want to administer. The next page will have you select your UIC.
- **All 3 applications follow the same process – only PERSTEMPO DMRS Message System will be used as an example
4. PERSTEMPO DMRS AUTHORIZATION ADMINISTRATION
Notes:
- Select the appropriate group (left column) or search for a specific person (center column). You cannot grant
access for DMRS Authorization to Non-UIC personnel. Ex: CDS 1 PERSTEMPO manager requires access to USS DEWEY
– grant CDS 1 Mailbox access to DWY (administration rights). CDS 1 will be able to submit events on DWY’s
behalf if necessary with CDS 1 as the reporting UIC.
- Select the individual you want to grant access to.
5. PERSTEMPO DMRS AUTHORIZATION ADMINISTRATION
Notes:
- Select which authority you want the individual to have. Click Proceed.
- Same process to add/remove authorization in any application.
6. REPORT VIEWING CENTER
Notes:
- Click “Control D Report Viewing Center”
- Select your UIC
- Select “View Reports for UIC xxxxx” – this is the screen that will pop up once you get to this point
- Reports run every Sunday. Recommend checking them every 2 weeks
- P-CHRONO 730 Day report is the same as 365, but reporting on the 730 day threshold
- Expired event report will not appear if there are no expired events

attention to the 365 column in the 365 report and the 730
column in the 730 report.
- Blank spaces in the “end date” column indicate that the event
is still open.
- Report lists individuals in chronological order based on
‘gates’:
>160 Days out of 365
=122-159 Days out of 365
<122 Days out of 365
Empty space – event is still open.
Individual’s clock is still ticking.

9. REPORT VIEWING CENTER – EXPIRED EVENTS
If event is not closed and it is
past the PROJECTED END DATE,
event will become EXPIRED
Projected End Date: End Date
that was submitted when event
was created.
UIC that the event was created by
Notes:
- You must close an event as soon as it is completed or else it
will populate the Expired Events Report.
- Close expired events as you would any event. No change in
process.
- If the UIC that the event came from is not yours, find the end
date and close it out. If you are having issues with this,
contact a POC.
- ITEMPO clock keeps rolling if a Sailor has an expired event.
- Avoid expired events by managing PERSTEMPO properly and
including PERSTEMPO as part of the check-in/INDOC process.
10. REPORT VIEWING CENTER – UIC WEEKLY SUMMARY
Total number of events, days,
and average days per sailor
Percentage of Sailors that fall
within each range
Individuals that fall within the
PERSTEMPO days range
Notes:
- Great snapshot tool for commands/data mining
- Recommend making this a slide in PB4T/8 O’Clock reports/etc
so Leadership is aware of PERSTEMPO information.
- Useful for ISICs to see quick overview of subordinate
commands’ PERSTEMPO.
11. PERSTEMPO QUERY AND FORECASTING
Query an individual Sailor’s
PERSTEMPO w/ SSN.
Query a Unit’s PERSTEMPO
High Deployment Threshold Pay
Query – will give list of those
possibly eligible with various
report types
Forecast PERSTEMPO for future
Ops
Any messages that have been
requested but not yet sent to
your report viewing center
Notes:
- Excellent tool to verify if you will require a waiver for
breaking threshold limits.
- Can use Individual SSN Query to pull a member’s PERSTEMPO
for IA Impact Statements/etc.
- ISICs: Query Unit PERSTEMPO to get a snapshot at what ships
tempo looks like.
12. Forecast Query – Deployment Forecast
Will give alpha-
list of your ship
with
PERSTEMPO
Will give report of entire ship in order of
PERSTEMPO days. Click the Gates you want
to include. Recommend: 160-249 and
everything higher should be checked.
Type UIC you are forecasting for.
Input dates of projected
PERSTEMPO event/(s)
When you want the 365 and 730 day
calendar to stop.
UIC you want the report to go to
Notes:
- Recommend checking ‘Alphabetical’ query type
to get whole ship in alpha order. If you are
looking at just specific gates, recommend
clicking 160-249 and every box to left of
that in order to get everyone that would be
breaking threshold limits.
- Pull both 365 and 730 reports to ensure you
are looking at both limits.
- Period ending date can be one day after your
event ends, or any time you want the clock to
stop rolling. It will calculate PERSTEMPO
365/730 days back from date you enter there
- Click continue and ensure you submit your
request. It takes up to 30 minutes for the
report to populate in your report viewing
center.
13. PERSTEMPO ONLINE TRANSACTIONS
Notes:
- Unit Transactions are when the SHIP gets
underway. You can report fail to sails within
all the Unit options.
Notes:
- Individual Transactions are when INDIVIDUALS
go TAD/etc.
- REMEMBER: A PERSTEMPO DAY IS ANY DAY A SAILOR
CANNOT SLEEP IN THEIR RACK.
- Schools: If the school is local and they can
go home – not a PERSTEMPO day.
Input UIC you are submitting Event for
Notes:
- PUDB: Starting an event that will happen TODAY/in the future.
- PUDE: Ending an event that has been completed.
- PUXB: Canceling an event that has been submitted (it did not happen)

25. MY PERSTEMPO
NOTES:
- Every sailor has access to PERSTEMPO, but they can only see the
Documentation (right side) and “Who Am I?” and “My PERSTEMPO”
- Recommend having sailor log in to PERSTEMPO and clicking “My
PERSTEMPO.” This way you can see if they have any open events
(expired), or on the cusp of needing a waiver (or has already
had one submitted).
- CRAV grading sheet requires ALL Sailors to have received
training and know how to check their own PERSTEMPO.
27. PERSTEMPO WAIVER
Can be one, multiple
individuals or an entire
ship. Same format for both
365 and 730
Date is the day that
individuals listed will hit
the threshold
This section must describe
“All prudent and reasonable
measures” that were used to
avoid member/(s) exceeding
threshold
28. PERSTEMPO ENDORESEMENT
Endorsement comes from ISIC. This gets sent to CNSP to get approved by
CNSP Actual. Waiver approval will be sent back to the ISIC and submitted
to NPC PERSTEMPO Program Managers.
30. EXPIRED EVENTS
Use UNIT if you have an
expired event for the entire
unit.
Input YOUR UIC (or UIC that
the individual is part of –
ISIC). You can also input SSN
instead of searching by UIC.
31. EXPIRED EVENTS
Input date event ended. If
