Welcome to the world of Affiliate Marketing.
Thanks for downloading this awesome Guide.
My name is Joel Pillar and I have generated part-time income as an affiliate
marketer working from the comfort of my home and being the BOSS of
myself.
When I made my first $24.60 online as a Clickbank Affiliate using my
Smartphone, since then I have made up my mind to build my own Empire
online as an affiliate marketer.
And due to my experiences in the past few years that I’ve started my journey
as an affiliate marketer i can clearly mentor and show you how to get started.
Before I get started in this journey I have passion to be working online but I
can’t figure exactly what am going to be doing online,
then I started searching for ways to make money online, I watch a lots of
videos on YouTube and I also don’t know that I can make money on YouTube
(Passive income at that), till I came across affiliate marketing at early,
and I started searching through the internet on how I can become a
successful and certified affiliate marketer.
This e-book is to guild you till you make your first sale because I don’t want
you to also be searching all though the internet before you starts your
journey like I do.
I watch a lot of tutorials, read bunch of books, listen to podcasts and I have
never buy any course online, you might be wondering why is that,
the answer is “to know the mind of my audience i have to build relationship

become their favorite”,
as time goes on am going to buy courses and am going to share them with
you.
Am going to share everything I know concerning affiliate marketing with text
and also include videos at the end of this e-book (strictly for beginners).
Therefore I decided to create a YouTube channel and blog where I could
share my content with the rest of the world.
In this e-book I will link you to Videos and also blogs so that you will
understand everything at once.

SOME TERMS TO NOTE
AFFILIATE: The partner who promotes the merchant’s products for a
commission. Also called the publisher.
AFFILIATE AGREEMENT: An informal agreement specifying the rules that
both parties agree to, responsibilities, rates to be paid and other legalities.
AFFILIATE LINK: A trackable URL that identifies the affiliate as the source of
targeted traffic to a merchant’s site. (A click on an affiliate link counts as a
referral.)
AFFILIATE NETWORK: An online marketplace where merchants list their
products and where affiliates can find products to sell.
AFFILIATE PROGRAM: A program set up by merchants to pay commissions
when affiliates refer people to their products
COMMISSION: A percentage of the total sale that is paid to the affiliate for
referring the sale.
COOKIE: In affiliate marketing, cookies are used to assign a unique ID to the
buyer in order to tag the purchase as being referred by you. Cookies usually
have a predetermined lifespan,
so that even if the buyer doesn’t purchase right away, you will still get credit
for the sale if it occurs within that time-frame (often 60 days or more).
REFERRAL: Credit for a click or a sale that occurs when the affiliate sends
traffic to the merchant’s site.
How To Start Affiliate Marketing As A Beginner
In this E-book you are going to learn a lot of things pertaining affiliate
marketing, even if you are not a beginner you are also going to benefit from
this because nobody is an island of knowledge.
We are going to be using clickbank and nutriprofit to cite example if we want
to cite any example.

1. WHAT IS AFFILIATE MARKETING
HERE’S THE KEY POINT YOU NEED TO UNDERSTAND IF YOU WANT TO
BECOME AN AFFILIATE MARKETER:
You’re earning a commission in exchange for giving readers valuable insights
on products or services they were already thinking about purchasing.
Affiliate Marketing is the process of making money (in form of commission)
referring people to other person’s product.

Let me explain it in a very simple mind, assuming you have a friend selling
land and you meet him that you will like to be his affiliate, i.e. you are going
to be receiving commission whenever you refer someone to buy his land.
Let’s assume his selling a plot of land for $200 and he said he will pay 10%
($10) per sale through you. Assuming you got 10 people to actually buy his
land then you’re going to make $100.
It might be a little bit small but when you keep on referring people to buy his
land your commission will be coming in and before you know you have made
thousands of dollar.
He might even decide to increase your commission.
And there are lots of company that will pay you about 70% to 100% in
commission and I believe that those kind of company are just starting up
(they just found there company and need affiliates to get them out there),
Furthermore if you join an affiliate company like Clickbank you will find
vendors that are willing to pay up to 70%.
And when we are talking about affiliate marketing then we are talking about
two set of people:
• The Vendor
• Affiliate
A vendor is someone who create a product be it physical or digital product
and set it up with the help of affiliate companies (like clickbank, digistore24
etc.)
so that affiliates like you reading this e-book can sell and as he his making
money, affiliates also will be making money (it’s a win-win game),
While affiliate is someone who meet the vendor directly or a company to
promote already set up product just to make money.
That’s how simple it is to make money online without owning a product of
yourself.

Majority of companies worldwide have an “affiliate program”, which just
means they are willing to give affiliates a fixed or a percentage cut for
referring people to them.
Companies like Amazon, Walmart, Nike, and so on all have affiliate programs.
Think of your favorite company,
or a product or service you love. Go to Google and type in “[my company/my
product] affiliate program” and see if anything shows up.
Likely it will.
And do you think that these affiliate programs are only limited to products
that people have a need for? Think again.
Even entertainment products have affiliate programs, so you can literally
make money in any field.
Have you been wondering how affiliate marketing works?
Let’s proceed to the next page to understand that.

2. HOW DOES IT WORKS
As have said earlier about you and your friend selling land, you join affiliate
marketing to make money not to create a product for people to sell.
Now, let me give you a typical example of a Clickbank product:

What I circled in the screenshot above is called product and if you hit the
promote button,
You should see something like this (below):

And once you enter your Clickbank ID you are going to get the link in which
you are going to promote (get people to click and buy through), you should
click on generate hoplink (what I circled above) and your Hoplink will popup:

So this is the link you are going to promote to people and you will receive
commission whenever someone buys through that link.
Basically an affiliate will put the affiliate link that we discussed somewhere on
their website, and then bring traffic to that site, whether paid,
or through search engine optimization (SEO), i.e Google organic search
results.
If people buy the products or services through that link, then the vendor gets
a sale and the affiliate (you) will get a commission.
Keep this process in mind as we go through some examples.
An Example of Affiliate Marketing
EXAMPLE 1. https://joelpillar.medium.com

As you can see in the screenshot above,
It’s a review to a product on nutriprofit affiliate network that I wrote and
published on medium.com (as you continue reading this e-book you will get
to know what medium is all about) few weeks ago and I got sale with the
review.
What I circled up there is a link to the product that am promoting and the
product is called “keto actives” which is a weight loss product.
This is an effective way of promoting affiliate products.

This example doesn’t include a blog or website, but rather a YouTube video.
Yes, you can do affiliate marketing in a variety of ways, it doesn’t only have to
be limited to a website and you can get really creative in how you make
money online.
If you can remember when you are reading through the intro at the
beginning I said I don’t know I can make money on YouTube, all I do is to
watch tutorials and those that am watching their tutorials are making money.
The creator of this video did not only brings up some affiliate links in the
video,
but also has them in the description:

3. LIST OF AFFILIATE WEBSITES TO
JOIN
There are lots of affiliate network in which you can join, so far you have a
targeted niche to base on.
When an affiliate marketer have a specific product to promote (e.g. health
and fitness product, e-business and e-marketing, self-help etc.) is said to be a
targeted niche.
Below is an image of categories of product on Clickbank:

All the listed below affiliate networks are among the best affiliate network in
the history of the internet and if you ask me then I will huge you to join them.
But don’t join too much of them so that you will be specific and unique.

 adcombo
 shareasale
 gooffers
 maxbounty
 nexusoffers
 digistore24
 Warriorplus
 nutriprofits
This are just few of the affiliate network you can join.
Some of these networks allow you to see what products they have that you
can promote before you sign up,
but if not, you’ll just have to sign up for them first and find out once you’re
approved.
As mentioned earlier ClickBank is the easiest to get into,
so just sign up on ClickBank here.
Do you already know for a fact what specific product or service you want to
promote?
Then just go into Google and type in “[my company/my product] affiliate
program” and see if anything shows up.
If it does, excellent – sign up for that program immediately and hopefully you
should get your link soon. If not, you might have to find another product or
service to promote.
Sometimes it takes a few days to get approved for the affiliate network, so
you should apply to every affiliate program you can just in case while waiting
for approval from other networks.

When signing up for these affiliate programs, you will sometimes be asked
“interview-type” questions,
such as how long you’ve been doing affiliate marketing for. Just be honest
and tell them you’re just starting out but very eager to learn and get going.
Everyone starts out somewhere and the top experts now started out as
beginners one day...
so just be upfront and if you do have to go through a Skype call or interview,
just relay the fact that you’re a newbie but are willing to learn.
That should get you approved.

4. HOW TO SIGN UP FOR AN
AFFILIATE NETWORK
OK, so by now you should have a really good understanding of what affiliate
marketing is and how it works.
But what we didn’t cover yet is how exactly to get started.
So that’s what this next part is about – getting started and driving traffic so
that you can make money online.
You already know there are lots of affiliate network to join but just for the
purpose of this e-book am going to use clickbank as an example and you are
going to see how to sign up on clickbank.
Once you are able to sign up on clickbank then you should be able to sign up
on any affiliate network.
So, Let’s get started!
#first step is to go to clickbank.com

Once you are here then click on the sign up button above,
You should be redirected to the page below:
So you need to enter your details (country, name, email, password etc.) and
immediately you are done entering your details then click on continue to
terms and condition,

click on continue after you have check the terms and condition then click on
“Join Clickbank!”,
you will be redirected to the next page as shown below:

If you want them to send you training on how to be successful with clickbank
then click on “Yes, I’m interested in more” and if you don’t need that then
click on “No, I got this on my own”.
And what I think is you should click on “Yes, I’m interested in more” so that
you will be receiving updates from them.
Meanwhile if you click on any of those buttons you should be redirected to
the page below:
Okay, this is what the next page looks like, click on “Continue My Profile” and
you are going to be redirected to another page in which you are going to
complete your registration.

Fill the entire blank, it’s just for you to fill in your address and once you fill it
then hit “Complete”.
Booooooooom! Your account is created.
Now that you are done creating your account what you need to do next is to
create your Clickbank ID so that they can track your sales.

Click on “Create an Account” and you are going to be redirected to the page
where you are going to create your ID.
See the screenshot below.

Then choose your account type and type in your nickname, if your nickname
is taken already then you cannot proceed till your nickname is accepted
(enter another nickname so that you can proceed).
As you can see in the image above (Congratulation, the Nickname is
available!) and you are done creating your account.

Once your account is created then you should see the screenshot above.
By now I believe you can create a clickbank account yourself and if your
country is not accepted on clickbank then look for another network to join.
If you click on affiliate marketplace you should be redirected to the page
below:
So this is exactly how to create a clickbank account, some network is not easy
to sign up with (like maxbounty),
I choose clickbank because I like it and it’s easy to navigate.
Having said that let move to how to choose the best niche and product to
promote in the next page.

5. HOW TO CHOOSE THE BEST
NICHE AND PRODUCT TO PROMOTE
The core question you need to ask yourself is:
What types of products and services is your audience already buying?
Initially, you might not know exactly what products to promote, but if you
think about it for a bit, you can probably guess the major categories.
Basically there are 4 Types of Products to Promote as an affiliate marketer.
#1 PHYSICAL PRODUCTS:
Physical product are the type of product that the vendor have to deliver to
the customer physically, without the affiliate conscience.
If you decide to represent physical products on your blog, your best bet is to
choose high-quality,
distinctive products that will appeal strongly to your specific audience.
Avoid commodity products that your readers can buy anywhere,
the commissions are so small you won’t make worthwhile money unless you
can drive tremendous traffic to your site.
#2 DIGITAL DOWNLOADS:
Digital downloads are online resources that your readers can access instantly,
without having to wait for a package to come in the mail (as is true for
physical products).
They could be audio or video files, PDFs, e-books or even links to webpages
where the content lives online.
And digital product convert very well.

#3 ONLINE COURSES
Online courses are an important subset of digital products, especially for
bloggers, and the market is huge.
They’re so popular that they deserve their own category on this list.
Online courses exist on just about any topic you can think of.
They range in price from free to thousands of dollars, with higher-priced
programs promising big results for students.
#4 ONLINE, HOSTED AND PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
When it comes to selling services as an affiliate, it’s important to concentrate
on those which will be accessible to your entire audience no matter where
they’re located (as opposed to service providers who serve local customers
only).
Now to choose a very high converting product, assuming the affiliate
network you join is clickbank, you need to go to the marketplace, (see the
screenshot below).

Follow the arrow above and click on the marketplace, if you click on the
market place then you should see the screenshot below and as you can see,
I pointed arrow to the categories of the product on clickbank where you can
choose the product that you would like to promote
and then check if there are affiliates like you that are already promoting and
making money with the product.
Am going to show you how to check weather affiliates like you are making
money with the product or not.
If you are already in the marketplace then click the magnify glass as shown in
the screenshot below so that all the best and high converting product will
load up.

Once you click that glass you should be redirected to the below screenshot,
all the product that loaded up are the best product on clickbank,

We now have to check how many affiliates are promoting and making money
with it.
You need to sort by gravity,
And that can be done by clicking on what I circled in the screenshot below
On clicking that it will drop down some menu as shown above then you click
on gravity.
Once you click on gravity it will load all the best and high converting product
on clickbank, it’s now up to you to choose what you want to be promoting.
Now you have to check the area that I circled in the screenshot below so that
you will see the number of affiliates that are already promoting and making
money with it.
Let’s assume you want to promote the first product that showed after you
sort by gravity.

As you can see, the Gav: is 368.01 which mean 368.01 affiliates have sold
this product in the past 3 weeks and this is the kind of product you can
promote,
If at all you want to promote a product, make sure the Gav: is at least over
10.00 so that you will not waste your time promoting what will not make you
money.
If you choose this product that we use as an example then you are going to
make lot of money if you drive targeted traffic to it which will be discussed
shortly.
Now that you’ve understand how to choose a high converting product.
You now have to check the demand for the product you want to promote
and that’s what am going to discuss in the next page.
So let’s go.

6. HOW TO CHECK THE DEMAND
FOR YOUR PRODUCT OR SERVICES
Now that you know what you want to promote, you have to check and make sure
that there’s enough demand for your product or service.
To check the demand of any product, you have to do what is called “keyword
research”.
If you don’t know what keyword research is, here is a quick overview “Keyword
research is designed to help you know what people are searching for and how
exactly they are searching it and also you will get to know the number of people
searching for a particular keyword”
And when we are talking about keyword research there are keyword planners that
are free and some are paid,
It’s left to you to choose the one you want.
Keyword research tool like ads.google.com which is totally free and easy to use.
Also Neil Patel’s Uber Suggest is also a very awesome keyword planner like
ads.google.com it’s also very easy to use.
These tools will allow you to plug in any keyword(s) you want and you are going to
see the volume of people searching that keywords every month. A keyword is a
word that causes your ad and website to show up in search results.
If there’s less than 500 searches for a given keyword or group of keywords per
month, I probably wouldn’t bother promoting that product. Anything over 1,000
searches per month is a good starting point.
Keep in mind that the number of searches per month also correlates to competition.
So if you want to promote a weight loss product and are using “lose weight” as the
keyword, you’ll see millions of searches per month.
This also means there is a LOT of competition for this keyword, and likely the cost
per click for paid ads might be fairly high.

So just keep in mind that a high number of searches means there is a lot of
demand,
but there is also going to be a lot of competition and a higher than average
cost to promote. That being said, have you signed up for a free Google Ads
account yet so you can use their keyword planner tool?
Once you create an account and you log in, click on “Tools & Settings” at the
top and click on “Keyword Planner”:
Then, click on “Discover New Keywords” and add your keywords you want to
test (make sure to enter your audience location. Don’t leave it at the default
country since it’s likely that more people from around the world would be
interested in your offer as well):

Not bad at all – 1,000 searches per month for the keyword “cappuccino mct”
and 1,000 for the keyword “cappuccino mct reviews”. Definitely lots of search
volume and this lets you know that there is a lot of potential here that can be
utilized once we create our landing page and start running our ads.
As you can see the competition for the keyword “cappuccino mct” is low, if
you run ads for this keyword you are really going to make lot of money.
Cappuccino mct is a weight loss product on Nutiriprofit affiliate network.

So go ahead and select your product or service.
If you really like the recurring commission products I suggested earlier, go
ahead and type those into the keyword planner and see how many people
are searching for those.
Of course don’t forget to apply to the affiliate programs for these companies
first and read their rules – some of them don’t allow brand bidding or using
the search engine with certain keywords.
So just keep an eye out for that.
Once you select your product, you are ready to build out a landing page
(standalone “website” page) that’s going to take people to the affiliate offer
(and optional thank you page first). Not sure how to build out a landing
page?
We are going to talk more about that very soon.

7. HOW TO MAKE MONEY WITH
AFFILIATE MARKETING
In this section there are two basic things that you need before you can start
making money online as an affiliate marketer.
NOTE: This two things that am going to discuss below are very important so
be sure to read to the end and understand the concept
Now those things are:
1. Landing page: landing page is a standout page that enable you to build
your email list.
With landing page you will collect peoples detail so that you can message
them later because it’s not everybody that click through your link will buy the
product you are promoting immediately.
If 2,000 people click through your affiliate link am very sure 0.5% or 1% of
them will buy your product at that instant.
But if you are able to collect their details (mostly details like email and first
name) then you will be able to follow them up and persuade them to buy
your product and with so doing you are going to be making passive income.
Below is an example of a landing page.

As you can see in the screenshot above I target a specific niche and I give out
e-book for free.
Before you create a landing page,
you have to think about what you are going to give out to people so that
they will be willing to give you their email address.
The landing page above shows that am promoting a weight loss product and
that’s the main reason why am giving out a weight loss e-book for free (eat
more not less to loss weight).
Whenever someone looking for how to loss weight sees this he/she will be
willing to give anything just to get that e-book because it’s free.
So while creating landing page you need to think that what kind of freebie
can you give to people in exchange of their details and I will lay more
emphasis on that below.
• What Freebies can you give out
Let me analyze what I mean by freebie before talking about the type of
freebie you should give.
When we are talking about freebie in affiliate marketing, we are talking about
what you can give to people that will benefit them and they will be able to do
anything just to get it.
Assuming you are someone looking for weight loss supplement (what to use
in order to loss weight) and I told you that I have a very detailed e-book on
how to loss weight fast,
what did you think will happen, you will surely want me to give you the e-
book and “I” as an affiliate marketer will give you on a condition and the
condition is that you will have to sign up on my landing page before you can
download the e-book,
and with so doing have collect your details.

Now that we know what freebies are then let’s talk about the type of freebie
to give out to people.
Before you give anything out to people you have to be sure that what you
want to give out will solve their problem even if it’s not going to solve it
totally, people want to see your true side,
they want someone they can trust not someone that will scam them.
Basically freebies are given out to people because we want to collect their
details (name and email) so that we can follow them up later and promote
our product to them.
In any niche you might be promoting give people reason to give you their
details.
Make sure what you give out to people tally with the niche of product you
are promoting, don’t give weight loss freebie to someone who want to make
money online.
Let’s move to the next thing.
2. Email list: Email list is very essential in affiliate marketing, once you grow
you email list then you are ready to be making passive income because 1
email is equivalent to $1 (if and only if you know how to go about it).
You will have to spend little money to build Email list and a standout landing
page and the best platform to do that is Getresponse, have tested them and I
know how awesome their services are.

We are now going to move to the last step which is the key to money and I
call it (Money Processor).

8. HOW TO DRIVE TRAFFIC TO
YOUR AFFILIATE LINK
If you are a beginner and you want to drive massive traffic to your affiliate
link then I don’t expect you to use paid traffic because using paid traffic as a
beginner will not make you UNDERSTAND what people want.
When you have make money with free traffic then you are good to invest
that money back to paid traffic because paid traffic works insanely well.
Using paid traffic you are going to be seeing result immediately and that is
when you run it correctly.
Driving traffic for free will boost your affiliate marketing career an even your
mentality in knowing the best strategy to drive traffic
So am going to explain to you with text and videos on how to drive free
traffic to your affiliate link.
FREE TRAFFIC
The best method to drive traffic is by using social media, Q&A websites,
forums, video sharing website and lots more.
Here are the best method you can use to drive massive and free traffic to
your affiliate link:
Social Media Website:
There are lot of social media website that you can join and start promoting
your offers and most of the most popular social media doesn’t allow direct
link,
all you need is a website or landing page that will serve as bridge page
between you and your customers.

 Instagram.com
 Twitter.com
 Gab.com
 Parler.com
 Pinterest.com
Question And Answer Websites(Q&A):
People go to Q&A sites to ask question because they need an answer and at
the course of that you can be that person that will answer their question and
recommend a product and they will probably buy and you will make money.
If you join Q&A website and create quality and detailed answers people will
view your answer and will buy any product you recommend (if and only if you
write trustworthy content).
Many people did not understand how to go about setting up a professional
profile and most of those Q&A website need you to be original and
professional before you can be trusted.
What you can do is to go to quora and look for people in your niche then
check their profile to know how to create a professional profile.

This websites convert very well even more than social media, all you need to
do is to create a video review about the product you are promoting and
share it. You can create a video review and post it on all the video sharing
website that you know and you are going to make bank.

I need to explain things about YouTube so read…
YOUTUBE
YouTube is a video sharing platform that allow you to publish any video so far
it’s not phonographic.
The method itself is nothing new; but I have a new way of using this system
and some affiliates are successfully using it for quite some time now.
But the most important thing is that IT WORKS and there are a plenty of
space for other affiliates.
This method involves doing clickbank review videos and ranking them easily
on Google.
Here Is The Step By Step:
Look for a clickbank product to promote that’s not too competitive.
I usually pick products that have a gravity between 10-30 and payout of
$20+
Use Google KW Tool,
https://adwords.google.com/ko/KeywordPlanner/Home and make the
product name has more than 100 local [exact] searches Because we will
like targeting the buyers, people who are searching for the product, not
just information free seekers.
Go ahead and do a Google search for the product name. Just make

sure there’s already a YouTube video on page 1 that has less than
20,000 views. If it does, you can easily outrank them with basic SEO
method.
Send email to the product creator and ask for a review copy. Tell them
you’re an experienced marketer and you’ll be driving traffic to a review
video with SEO. 60% of the time, they’ll hook you up.
If you get the review copy, great. If not, you can do this anyways using
the sales page as content for your review. Or, you can move on to
another product. Or you can Google “product name + review” and read
about the product from other sites. That will give you a review idea for
the product.
Use A screen capture Software to make your video review. You can use
Camtasia, BB Flashback or camstudio (free version which has 30day free
trial) reviewing the product.
If you got a review copy, do an “inside look” of the product. Make sure to
have a call to action to click on the link below the video.
Make sure you have the video as “productname.mp4”. This will really
helps with rankings.
Upload your video to YouTube, include product name in title,
description and tags. Add an annotation with the product name.

it a scam? Etc [You got the idea now]
