Highly Experienced fashion Designer currently working as Head of Design
on the womenswear dept at Brand Alliance. Able to work in a very fast
paced environment, under pressure, under own initiative and as part of
a team. Hard working and highly motivated. Experienced working within
Bespoke tailoring, couture fashion, high street brand design and production.
Also greatly experienced in pattern cutting and garment construction.
As part of my current role not only do I design womenswear, I design plaids
and prints, I create specs for which are applied to very detailed tech packs.
I have great experience with liaising directly with buyers, working closely
with them and their designers to create a high standard and creative fashion
ranges, from initial design right up to production. Working closely with my
buyers also involves sample shopping trips to places such as LA, Paris and
Hong Kong. I travel for meetings in the Far East on average of every 3-4
months throughout the year. This is mainly to India and China. Within these
trips I will use the oppertunity to source, design and create the new seasons
range as per the buyers requirements and also ensure our in-house showroom
is up to date with new styles.
