3. My mom has taught me to always be kind
to everyone and to not take life too
seriously.
My sister has taught me about confidence
and staying true to myself.
My grandma
has taught me
that an
education is
important and
to not take it for
granted.
4. School is where I met my best friends who
became my family. Meeting these people
who undoubtedly shaped me as a person
made me realize that school is more than
just a place where students go to learn, it’s a
place that shapes their whole lives.
My Friends
5. • Being able to experience other cultures and ways of living is something that is very
important to me. I think the more that I can experience and learn about other cultures
firsthand, the more able I will be to teach students of diverse backgrounds.

6. TEACHER IDENTITY
• I have worked with kids my whole
life- whether it be at the daycare
where I work, at my church, or
volunteering in my mom’s
kindergarten class- and it has always
given me so much joy. I have known I
wanted to be a teacher for most of
my life.
7. • My experiences working with kids will
shape me as a teacher because I
have found a love for teaching that I
think will help me be a great teacher.
• From my own experiences in school,
I know that most students learn best
when the material is relevant to them
and also enjoyable. This will ground
my approach in teaching- always try
to have a meaningful lesson to the
students that they will engage in.
8. MY TEACHING VISION
• My vision as a teacher is to be the kind of teacher that makes the students eager to
come to school. Not because class is all fun and games, but because they truly want to
learn and better themselves as a student.
• My mission is to reach the students who feel like school is a chore. I want to have at
least one lesson that inspires them and changes their attitude towards school, even
just a little bit.
9. This was me on my first day of student
teaching. I was so excited to finally start
doing what I love. I have a feeling I am
going to be this excited to go to work
everyday of my career because I truly
believe teaching is what I was made to
do.
