DIGITAL TOKENIZATION
Tokenization is the process of replacing sensitive information, like a consumer’s PAN (Personal Account Number) or 16-digit
card number, with a unique digital identifier called a Token which has no meaningful value if breached.
Tokenization uses a token vault which stores the relationship between the sensitive info & the token. The data in the vault is secured using encryption.
Tokens allow payment processing without exposing actual account/card details, thus reducing fraud & providing faster checkout experiences.
