Major restructuring Workforce Education and
recapitalization of the Corporate Training
(certification) program.
• The SPC Board reviewed this work at its meeting of October 2014 and
approved a restructuring plan at the meeting of March 2015; under the
leadership of Dr. Jim Connolly, the plan has been implemented and
training for the Global Corporate College was scheduled;

• SPC received $332,304 for the 560 industry certifications awarded
during the 14-15 reporting year.
• SPC ranked:
– 6th overall in the number of certifications reported throughout the
FCS.
– 1st in the number of students earning CompTIA Network+ (20)
– 1st in the number of students earning Cisco Certified Network
Associate (11)
– 1st in the number of students earning Java certification (4) - we were
the only college to report this certification

3. President’s Comments
• In addition to these certificates, our Corporate Training Program
awarded an additional 474 certificates or licensures that are not eligible
for state incentive funding but which lead directly to employment
opportunities;
• The Learn to Earn program continues to provide quality short course
training opportunities that are popular with our citizens; in the current
year we will provide more than 3,700 training experiences, a growth of
6.5% over the past year; the total enrollment in the program since its
initiation four years ago now exceed 14,000!
