Tighten- to make something tight or tighter or to

Clockwise- in the direction in which hands of a
clock rotate as viewed from in front or as if
standing on a clock face.
Insulation- material used in insulating
Loosen- to make looser
23. DESCRIBE ME
Describe Me (5 minutes)
Instruction: Pick a single hand tool and describe
how to use that tool. Let the students present it in
a creative way.
(Song, Poem, Drama,Speech Choir,Tiktok).
24. A hand tool is a device for performing
work on a material or a physical system
using only hands. The hand tools can be
manually used employing force, or
electrically powered, using electrical
current.
25. Flat head screwdriver
Use a flat head screwdriver when you are working with a
slotted screw. Do not use a flat head screwdriver to remove
a Phillips head screw.
26. Phillips head screwdriver
Use a Phillips head screwdriver with crosshead screws.
Do not use this type of screwdriver to puncture anything.
This will damage the head of the screwdriver.
27. Needle-nose pliers
Can be used to place and retrieve parts that may be hard
to reach with your fingers. Do not scratch or hit any
components when using these tools.
28. Wire Cutter
Used to cut wires. To use, just hold up the
grip and pull up the insulation of the wire.
29. Flashlight
Simply press down the button if you want to
turn on and press up if you want to turn off by
simply using your thumb
30. Brush
Used to remove dust and debris of computers.To use,
just gently brush the part where dust particles are
present.
31. Environmental Safety and Health Program
requires the following:
• All tools be kept in good condition with regular
maintenance
•The right tool be used for the job
• Each tool be examined before use and damaged or
defective tools NOT to be used
•Tools be operated according to manufacturer’s
instructions
32. Steps of proper use of hand tools.
1. Loosen computer casing screws by turning the screwdriver
counter clockwise to open the system unit.
2. Brush away dust from keyboard and system unit.
3. Remove insulation of wires by holding the grip of the wire
cutter and pulling out the wire gently.
4. Loosen nuts by turning the nut/s counter clockwise.
5.Turn on flash light to see clearly the inside parts of the
system unit.
6.Tighten computer casing screws by turning the screwdriver
clockwise to cover the system unit.
