WORK EXPERIENCE
Lifeguard
I have worked as a Lifeguard at Ribby Hall for nearly 3 years now. I obtained the correct qualifications to become
a lifeguard, which was the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification I quickly got employed by the company. During
my time working as a Lifeguard I have gained many skills, including improved communication with the public,
working under pressure within a team, and holding measures of responsibility in a busy environment. I have
really enjoyed the role, which involves a great deal of responsibility, focus and teamwork, with opportunities to
interact with people of all ages. I recently renewed my NPLQ certificate, which I had to do a physical and theory
exam for and I passed.
Marketing Team
I have been involved in doing some part time work for John Parker Aesthetics which involves administration,
advertising and promotional work. I have also helped him with designing a new website, printing and
distributing various leaflets, and creating training material. I feel that this role has given me plenty of insight in
to how important efficiency, professionalism, customer service and team work are in the day to day running of a
business and will help me in the future.

INTERESTS
When I was younger I went to Brownies and Guides. This has taught me many skills involved with working with
others and personal development. Also, progressing to the role of a young leader at brownies this has allowed
me to apply my skills and knowledge with helping others. I am currently working towards my senior leadership
certificate at brownies, this allows me to take an active, positive part in running the brownies and share my
knowledge with them. I go to brownie meetings once a week.
The activities, which I currently take part in, play a large part in my ability to work as part of a team and use
communication. I go to karate once a week and this requires me to work under pressure. My musical
achievements in piano show my creative aspects. I work best in a social friendly environment where everyone is
valued for their qualities, and where everyone can be involved in teamwork.

PHOTOGRAPHY EXPERIENCE
Over the last year I have had several opportunities to take pictures from several events, I got a few of these
opportunities through my college. They have helped me develop my skills in photography, but also develop my
communication skills more through talking to people at the event. I took pictures at a sales conference and
dinner party for David Francis at Hadfields Carpets which took place at the the Imperial Hotel in Blackpool. The
other event was for Pink Link Ladies whom were holding a networking day in relation to International Women’s
Day. These pictures were later printed in the Blackpool Gazette and the Lytham St Annes Express. I most
recently got to try my hand out at taking photos of a summer ball that a big company were holding a hotel.
Through the night I took group pictures, individual shots, room shots and candid shots. Through doing work
experience with a wedding photographer I used skills I had learnt from him with some of my own shots.
