2. AGUILA: Latinos inspired to lead In the community. “AGUILA’s mission is to inspire and empower Latino professionals with culturally relevant leadership skills, which can be used within their own organizations and their greater communities. AGUILA was developed to fill a recognized gap in Latino professionals volunteering with nonprofit organizations, which serve the Latino community. As more Latinos move into professional and executive positions, AGUILA will help build a stronger base of local leadership and increase volunteerism within the community. Each graduate will make a commitment to volunteer for an area nonprofit of his or her own choosing.”

6. Meals, Memories, Momentum! AGUILA Participant Feedback… The practical workshops were very effective in delivering experiential learning with respect to leadership that cannot be done by lecture or discussion. All presenters were great—well worth any amount of money to attend this program. Thank you all for your time, experience and loyalty. I appreciate your dedication and you all have given me the light to carry into a dark room. I was “voluntold” for this program—the best thing that could have happened to me! “The AGUILA program is a refreshing new look at the Latino perspective. It encourages unity and inspires renewed leadership unlike any other program out there since it's by Latinos, for Latinos.
