4. Remembraning
• Electrodes build up a layer of silver oxide during use that
must be removed
• Remembrane electrodes weekly or when they come into
contact with any sort of infectious disease (e.g. MRSA)
• Calibrate twice after remembraning
• Remembraning is performed with the supplied kit
5. Remembraning Procedure
Use O-ring removal tool Remove both O-rings Remove membrane
Clean electrode face Clean circular groove Two drops of electrolyte
solution – NO bubbles!
7. Electrode Care
• Electrodes can be cleaned with the following
water-based disinfectants:
– Hi-Tor Plus (Ecolab Inc.)
– MadaCide-FD (MADA Inc.)
– Control III (Maril Products Inc.)
• Never immerse plug in liquid
• Avoid exposing lead to alcohol-based
products (e.g. hand lotion, disinfectant)
• When electrodes are not in use, store with
cap on and two drops of contact liquid
