PROFESSIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS (HEMM Maintenance Management, JSPL - Tensa / Sep’10 to Present)
Planning and Strategy Making
1. Did fleet analysis and equipment design to cater modified mining plan. Calculated new mining need to analyse the fleet
strength taking into consideration the contractual job. Suggested for review of old fleet combination to cater proposed
mining plan considering operational cost.
2. Did equipment selection on basis of technical specification and required parameter. Prepared techno‐commercial
comparison of quoted offers to present to the management.
3. Developed alternate vendor for non – critical spares used in equipment considering practical & safety aspects. Negotiating
and finalizing the discounted rate contract to break the monopoly of OEM made spares.
Cost Control
1. Reduction in lubricant consumption & losses by 12 % annual. Analysed consumption pattern and identified major areas of
concern. Achieved 10% reduction in losses from correcting the maintenance practice. Monitored the change and
implemented SOP of modified practices. Convinced management for using standard and OEM spares for critical
subassemblies. Hence achieved the overall 12 % improvement.
2. Optimized inventory at stock from 4.5 crores to less than 2 crores. Classified inventory in different segments such as
insurance items, slow moving items, maintenance items, etc. considering different parameters like procurement time, cost.
3. Implemented tyre condition monitoring system and increased tyre life from 3500 hrs to more than 6500 hrs, an increase of
85%. This practice resulted in a significant achievement which reduced maintenance cost by around 15 %.
Team player and leadership
1. Led a team of more than 40 technical staff for equipment maintenance in shifts. Managing manpower and resources to carry
out planned and scheduled maintenance activities.
2. Worked in core team for preparation of Sustainability Report, FIMI Award, Kalinga Award and Tripartite Meeting of mines.
This involved cross functional work for compilation and integration of data.
3. Led the team for logistics, erection and commissioning of mining equipment. Followed up with transporter for timely and
complete delivery of items. Planned and executed erection of equipment safely in minimum possible time. Did planning and
providing resources to team for smooth erection process. Monitored performance parameter for successful commissioning.
