REthinkthings LTD 2013
Throughout the summer of 2013 I worked as an intern designer for Ilsa Parry’s REthinkthings LTD. While
working with Ilsa I was involved with developingthe company website. This included uploadingthelatest
products,adding/renewing designer’s profiles and addingmonthl y product deals. At REthinkthings I co-
designed a presentation bag, the bag was for a custom bag designer, who wanted to capture a design in which
business boards can smoothly travel in. I produced professional technical sketches,3D CAD models and
completed mock up models. I also contacted manufactures through emails and phone callsto discuss
manufacturingmatters and issues. Furthermore I worked with a team of designers to produce
Spirollightprototypes and co-promote the product at Manchester’s Mini Maker Fair 2013.My time working for
Ilsa Parry gaveme an insightin how a design company operates, from the involvement of a sketch to
promoting the product at advertisement fair.

Skills:
I have extensive knowledge of Solidworks which I perfected in my 3 years at Liverpool John Moore’s University.
I have produced work using FEA (finite element analysis of structures and pressure chambers), motion analysis,
rendering, bill of materials, technical drawings, modelling and 3D printing. These are just a hand full of skills
which I learnt within my course. Additionally I also have excellent understanding of AutoCAD from 2D drawings
to 3D structure organisinglayer states and creating blocks. Furthermore I have a sound knowledge of 3DS Max
in which I produced high quality renders for two university design shows. Sketch Up, InDesign, Photoshop
Illustrator and Microsoft Office™ tools are other programs I have high capability in. During my degree, I
gathered a board range of engineering terminology and understanding. Mechanical issues and manufacturing
processes producing reports and analysis are to name a few. Within my three year course I gathered a vast
understanding of market research techniques and methods, using these tools to produced comprehensive
reports. I have excellentattention to detail, creativeand innovativeminded.
