Maritime Academy, City & Guilds Maritime Security Operative, VHF and Radar, also STCW 95 modules 1-4, BOSIET,

Management at Sea in addition Maritime Firearms Competency Qualification, specialised in working in a High-Risk
Maritime Environment with the use of Firearms, Vessel boarding and Anti-vessel boarding. Regulated and highly

contracts especially welcome. Able to work on a range of shipping vessels with the ability to: work under pressure
and in emergency situations; assess situations, quickly and make sound decisions; and work as part of a team with
good leadership skills. My current position held is a Maritime Armed Security Team Leader and looking to make a

• Worked night shifts responsible for in-mates security and security of the establishment. Supervised prisoners,
keeping account of prisoners in my charge and maintained order.
• Provided appropriate care and support for prisoners at risk of self-harm or suicide. Helped promote Anti-Bullying
and suicide prevention policies.
• Wrote fair and perceptive reports on prisoners and recorded daily events.
• Built- up and maintained good relationships with those in my charge - This was a complex challenge, balancing
authority with a large amount of understanding and compassion. Taking care of prisoners and their property,
taking account of their rights and dignity.
• Carried out security checks and searches. Employing authorised physical control and restraint procedures where
appropriate.
• Took an active part in rehabilitation programmes.

1988 - 00 Her Majesty’s forces:
• As a Royal Marines Commandos and highly trained specialist front line soldier belonging to The UK’s elite
amphibious fighting force trained at C.T.C.R.M, I had to be ready to take part in front-line combat and be able
to deploy anywhere in the world in all conditions carrying out operations for the Royal Navy, by sea land or air at
short notice, whether in a military, humanitarian role or in emergency situations, which may include military
operations or natural disasters, to deploy and utilise specialist skills in some of the world’s toughest conditions.
Serving units 42 and 45 Commando attached to 40 Commando. Including Royal Marines Poole and Royal Marines
Base Chivenor fulfilling the role of General Duties then on to a specialist qualification as an Anti-Tank Specialist
where I was trained to identify enemy tanks and other armoured vehicles, and then use the Anti-Tank Missile
System and Heavy Machine Guns to hold back any enemy threat.

ROYAL MARINES COMMANDO 1988 - 00 Her Majesty’s forces: • As a Royal Marines Commandos and highly trained specialist front line soldier belonging to The UK’s elite amphibious fighting force trained at C.T.C.R.M, I had to be ready to take part in front-line combat and be able to deploy anywhere in the world in all conditions carrying out operations for the Royal Navy, by sea land or air at short notice, whether in a military, humanitarian role or in emergency situations, which may include military operations or natural disasters, to deploy and utilise specialist skills in some of the world’s toughest conditions. Serving units 42 and 45 Commando attached to 40 Commando. Including Royal Marines Poole and Royal Marines Base Chivenor fulfilling the role of General Duties then on to a specialist qualification as an Anti-Tank Specialist where I was trained to identify enemy tanks and other armoured vehicles, and then use the Anti-Tank Missile System and Heavy Machine Guns to hold back any enemy threat.
